The Samsung CL80 is a digital camera that is supported by a 1/2.3 inch (1.10cm) CCD sensor with approximately 14 Mega-pixel effective pixels. The camera also supports a Schneider f=5.6~39.2mm (35mm film Equivalent : f 31mm ~ 217mm) lens with F3.3 (Wide) ~ F5.5 (Tele) aperture settings, up to 5x digital zoom (12.5x on play mode, Dual Image Stabilization (Optical Image Stabilization plus Digital Image Stabilization) and an 3.7 inch AMOLED Wide VGA with Full Touch Screen Panel (Capacitive) display. The Samsung CL80 also supports TTL auto focus (Multi AF, Center AF, Face Detection AF, Object Tracking AF, Smart Face Recognition AF, One Touch shooting) with 80cm ~ infinity (normal), 10cm ~ 80cm (Wide), and 50cm ~ 80cm (Tele) focusing range. Other features on the Samsung CL80 includes 1/8 ~ 1/2000 second shutter speed, Program AE, Shutter AE, Aperture Priority AE or Manual Exposure; Multi, Spot, Center Weighted, and Face Detection AE metering; ±2EV (1/3EV steps) compensation, up to 6400 ISO setting, several flash modes, and Scene Modes. The camera also allows users to apply effects via its Photo Style Selector such as Soft, Vivid, Forest, Retro, Cool, Calm, Classic, Negative, Custom, and Pencil Drawing effects; Lens Effect such as Tilit & Shift, Shaded (Lomo) and Fish eye, and lets users edit images in-camera (Resize, Rotate, Trimming). The camera also supports 1280 x 720 (30/15fps) video recording with 7x optical zoom. It supports interfaces such as NTSC and PAL (user selectable) for AV out and HDMI 1.3. Powered by a 1,100mAH battery, the Samsung CL80 measures 4.03 x 2.3 x 0.74 inch and is compatible with systems with Windows operating system, minimum Pentium 500MHz processor, 250MB of available hard-disk space, USB port, CD-ROM drive, display compatible monitor, Microsoft DirectX 9.0 or later.

Features

The CL80 features 31mm wide angle lens plus 7x optical zoom that provides users with a wider shooting range from a shorter distance, enabling them to capture landscapes, large group photos and skyscrapers. With a true color-filtered 14-megapixel CCD and 7x optical zoom, the CL80 provides users with optimized images which can be used for printing poster-sized photos. The digital camera also comes equipped with Samsung's Smart Auto feature which analyzes key elements of composition such as color, brightness, motion and subject; then automatically adjusts to take the shot. Other features on the camera include Advanced Dual Image Stabilization (IS) feature which allows users to capture blur-free shots without using a flash or tripod, record HD videos in 1280x720p resolution at 30 frames per second on H.264 format, and upload their images directly from the camera to the to Facebook, Flickr, Photobox or Picasa with its WiFi connectivity.

  • cannot connect to router

    Samsung CL80 finds my router but shows a lock symmbol next to it. Until I get this lock off there I am done trying to connect. It goes and looks for the Zyxel router but says its locked and then says cannot connect. All the other stuff in the house connects to the router fine except this camera. I tried it at the neighbors house and it connected easily, however you can sit in their driveway and use there internet there is no passkey. I am novice and this and need help. Love the camera and don't want to return it.
