Summary: Wow, I love this camera! Just returned from Bora Bora. I took over 500 amazing photos & video -- lagoons, mountains, people, etc. on land and underwater of sharks, stingrays, and even whales while snorkeling. The camera is super easy to use and the picture/video quality is fantastic, sharp, and crystal clear for day and night shoots. I have never owned a Ricoh/Pentax camera, so I was hesitant. I own a high quality Nikon DSLR.
Summary: Great pictures. However, the time displayed on the front of the camera does not stay set. If having time and date stamp on the picture, this is a real problem as the time is incorrect on the photo. I will call the manufacturer to determine what to do.
Summary: I LOVE this camera. I bought this for a beach trip this September. I worked great for us and is a fun camera. This camera ended up being the only camera we carried down to the beach, which was so nice because it kept us from using our larger much more expensive camera. However, it performs like an expensive camera!! The kits had everything we needed to get started and covered all the bases. I told everyone on the beach that asked what camera I had.
Summary: much better than go-pro because of the zoom the only thing from getting a 5 star rating is the weight it is a little heavier than the original wp80 Pentax but it is just what i was looking for
Excerpt: Would give it five stars if there was a configuration to change the altitude display in feet, and pressure in inches of mercury. Otherwise, be prepared to have to do calculations or carry a conversion table. The camera itself is great, but my underwater testing has been limited to viewing the goings-on in our koi pond. The acid test comes on an upcoming snorkeling tour, but so far I'm impressed with IQ and features.
Pros: Great Resolution, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Summary: Love the little camera. I have owned almost one of each generation since these first came out. Been to Hawaii, Thailand, Jamaica, Caymans and more. Held up very well. My husband was in Iraq for 5 years with the original model and it is still working. I carry it everywhere. This model is a little bulky.
