Summary: I bought the Ricoh GR as a travel and mountaineering camera. I mostly shoot landscapes and city views with the odd close-up or portrait. Full weather sealing is what would make the Ricoh GR outstanding when on an expedition.
This camera has changed the way I shoot, what I shoot, and how much I shoot! Made me get out and shoot more!

Summary: This camera has changed the way I shoot, what I shoot, and how much I shoot! Low profile, excellent photo quality! The output files actually make me shoot more because of the awesome black & white right out of the camera! My time in Photoshop was cut 75% and I am still in awe!
Summary: just awesome, snap focus is worth the price alone. This camera feels great. Sturdy construction, it has a matte finish i really like. its tiny, and shoots beautiful raw images. Also the lens is nice and fast, and the menu seems totally intuitive and easy to navigate.
Wildly happy with this camera. Not as sexy as the Fuji X100T but more useful, at least in my eyes.

Summary: I purchased a Fuji X100T a several months ago and really have nothing bad to say about that camera. It was fantastic. HOWEVER, I found myself not bringing it with me because I needed to keep it in a case, therefore carrying a bag around with me.
Summary: Faaaaaantastic camera - but not for everyone. As the lens is a fixed 28mm equivalent, people used to compacts with zoom lenses might feel a bit awkward, but this is not any compact - it is an APS-C sensor with an extremely high quality lens designed for this particular sensor. The result?
Summary: Have had the camera for about a month now. Really, really, REALLY great camera. Coming from a Canon T3 Rebel that I enjoyed very much, this camera is just so amazing for it's size. Really was what I was looking for. I think compacts are on the comeback.
Summary: I've had this camera for one day. My report after that duration: AMAZING. As I understand it, this camera has the same APS-C sensor that had the magic juice for Nikon and Pentax a few years back. The image quality is superb.
Summary: I bought the Ricoh GR for street photography. It works great. The Snap function is very helpful. In street photography you do not have the time to center the subject, so the Snap function uses the focus distance you set and takes the photo. Also the subject tracking is another great feature.
Summary: This camera has been such a pleasure to use... it's hard to really describe! It's like a loyal friend, a horse that's always there beside you. I had the Ricoh GX200 prior to the GR. That camera was also simply superb!!
