A boxy little old-technology camera good for outdoor still shots.

Summary: The Polaroid PDC 5070 5.1 mp digital camera provides a fun, boxy shape, and takes interesting outdoor photos. I got mine here on eBay for less than 12 dollars, shipping and handling included. The camera is not state-of-the-art, but instead is relatively early digital camera technology. The shutter speed is quite slow. The camera requires the user to focus on holding it steady. The camera does use an SD card, though, and its view screen, though small, is useful.
Summary: Polaroid made great instamatic cameras but fell behind the curve when they jumped into the digital realm. I refer to the PDC 5070 as the "cube" because of it's very unusual shape. The camera itself is a bit bulky but has a good feel in your hand. The controls are easy to understand and the menu easy to use. It takes fine pictures which I printed to 5x7. In flash mode the screen was dark and so determining what you were taking a picture of was a bit of a guessing game.
Summary: I bought this camera because of the price and now I wished I spent a few more dollars for a good camera. The LCD is to small and very dark indoors. It's our first digital camera and I now know what NOT to buy.
Summary: I got the camera for my boyfriend for his 21st birhtday. It was a great starter up camera and great gift and price. Appropiate cause we've only been dating 4 months and 21 is an important age. The picture quality is not as good as my personal camera, and the camera seems a little dated, but it still accomplishes its task. Also when you use the flash, it leaves a bright glare no matter where you take the picture at.
Summary: I usually am quite satisfied with my purchases from overstock.com, but this is a total waste of money. It is the quality of a toy! I wouldnt pay 10 dollars for this!. I am in the process of returning it. It took me 5 minutes to realize I didn't want it. I have a canonpowershot 4.0 megapixel camera I bought over 3 years ago that blows the doors off of this.....It's a better investment to buy the canon 7 megapixel thats around for 138 dollars.
