  • Excerpt: Though my review may be slightly tainted by the new camera I have, which I can't fault at all. But with my previous camera i am going to have to try and keep this as polite as possible : -) Generally I like to keep my reviews short and to the point, but now I realise it is harder to do when you're...

PDC 3050 (replacement for the 3035)

Forbiddon, Ciao
3 June 2004
  • Excerpt: I have the PDC 3050 which is the model a catalogue company replaced the 3035 with because of a minor fault I believe. They are virtually the same camera in every way but for the raised lens and the eye viewer and flash being inverted.
  • Pros: Excellent Customer Support, Affordable,Robust,Digital so PC friendly,Variety of Functions
  • Cons: Lack of a good Zoom

  • Excerpt: I bought this camera for £99 from Argos in November 2003. It ws the first digital camera I had ever bought and I was basically looking for a nice simple camera which could take good quality photos. My first impression when I removed the camera from its packaging was that it was fairly large.
  • Pros: Cheap, great movie function, can take good pictures while outside
  • Cons: Very unreliable flash, poor photo quality while indoors

  • Excerpt: I have owned a Polaroid PDC 3035 digital camera for about 4 months now and am totally impressed. Firstly, I think that it the best priced camera for it's resolution (at 3.2 million pixels). Versitility of the product is excellent and using peripherals like smart media cards, usb connections etc.
  • Pros: Easy to use, lightweight, nice appearance, value for money
  • Cons: LCD screen could be bigger

Cheap But Not Quite So Cheerful

  • Excerpt: I was looking for a reasonable digital camera when I saw this PDC3035 in Argos, it seemed a great offer, a 3.2 megapixel camera for less than the price of many 2 megapixel ones. Polaroid was also a name that I knew and trusted, in a wash of unfamiliar brands (although i learnt later that polaroid...

  • Excerpt: I'd been vaguely thinking about a digital camera for ages. I enjoy photography, and also having prints in albums, but there are times when I want a picture immediately, rather than having to wait to finish the film, and then have it processed.
  • Pros: Great price, good colour, reasonable quality outside
  • Cons: Not so good indoors, delay in taking pictures, limited flash distance
