slow snap time

Overstock
18 April 2008
  • Summary: The Polaroid i531 is a nice little camera but I hate the delay between pressing the button to take a picture and the picture actually being taken; you can miss the shot completely if it's an action shot. I was hoping for a simple camera and this has a bit more on it than expected. I'm not a gadget geek so I like things simple and this really isn't.

Major Disappointment

Overstock
22 February 2008
  • Summary: This camera takes entirely too long to actually take a picture after you press the button. By the time it finally snaps a picture, the image is long gone. It seems that I will always have to have a tripod to avoid having every picture blurry. I have checked the settings and they appear to be ready to just "snap" a picture but the delay drives me nut. I was so happy to be getting a 5 megapixel camera at such a good price but have been nothing but disappointed.

Good buy.....Eats batteries quickly

  • Summary: The camera is easy to use and takes nice pictures. Definately needs a memory card; the capacity is not very good, and it eats batteries quickly.

  • Summary: Product lasted exactly 1 week before it had major problems. The camera would freeze and shut down for no apparent reason, even with new batteries (which don't last very long by the way). It took forever to contact Polaroid Cutomer Service and they could not provide any help other than to try new batteries. So the camera I bought for my daighter to take to college is now on it's way back to the manufacturer for their review to see if it's really broken or we damaged it.
