Summary: I purchased this camera to try to upgrade another very good camera, one that didn't have a viewfinder. After having used this Pentax X-5 for a few weeks or so, I'm convinced it's the best camera I've had. I got such a good buy on this, a number of people would like to find the same buy.
Truly great point and shoot digital camera. Outstanding performance.

Summary: This is an amazing camera for a point and shoot digital camera. The versatility, resolving capability and macro range is outstanding. I would recommend this camera to both beginner and advanced photographer as a camera for those times when you don't want to carry a lot of gear.
Summary: I read a ton of reviews prior buying this camera. The only thing that seemed to stand out as a negative was the flimsy battery door. I disagree with this. As long as you have four fingers and one thumb on each hand this ought not be a problem. The only problem I can see is that you do not get an owners manual. Never fear, you can print out your own 228-page manual off the internet! So by the time you are done doing this you might want to consider buying a new printer.
Summary: Dissapointed! The camera is bulky and not so easy to handle. The real downer is the processing speed. With a 'Class 10' sd card there is about a 2 or 3 second lag. Go for a Nikon point and shoot instead. Sold it on eBay almost immediately.
One of the most overlooked and underrated bridge zoom cameras
Just a Guy, Amazon

Summary: Absolutely terrific camera; one of the most overlooked and underrated bridge zoom cameras. A true bargain! Easy to use, easy to adjust, easy to hold. Feels substantial in the hand. Great images! Uses AA batteries. I use Lithium; they seem to last forever in this camera. If you're the kind of person who puts a camera on the shelf and wants it to be ready at a moment's notice to take family photos, then this is for you. No need to plan ahead for battery charging.
Summary: I was looking for a small point and shoot with a viewfinder. I am a Nikon person but thought this might work for a throw-in-the-bag for quick stuff. But I was not impressed. I did not like having to use separate batteries as opposed to the rechargeable battery packs. It doesn't say anything bad about the camera, my mistake for not researching further, just not what I was looking for. But customer service was quick as far as my return...no questions asked.
