Summary: I'm hard on pocket cameras. I keep dropping them and the battery door is always a weak spot. I guess taking them out of my pockets is the trouble. This is my 5th pocket digital camera. I have most of the parts from the old ones. The Pentax takes great pics. Lots of resolution. High mega pix.. But the battery door once again is the weak spot.
Built to take a beating, and takes great photos a& videos! Worth the money!

Summary: This is my second Pentax Optio WG. I purchased my original WG-90 for a trip to Puerto Rico, and love it. When I saw the chance to pick up another, I jumped on it. Takes great pictures in the water, under the water & out of the water. Survived an 8 mile hike thru the rain forest, repelling down a waterfall, and zip-lining. Takes great video too!
Summary: This camera was a replacement to my Kodak which rusted itself out. The Pentax is solid and has a better grip. One thing I would recommend is to wash the camera with regular water once you are done with the underwater shots. This will clear out the salinity that usually causes rust.
Summary: Bought it for a trip to Kauai because I needed something for the beach. It put up with everything. I kept in in my swim trunks pocket the whole time. Swimming, snorkeling, just sitting in the sand with my daughter while my pockets filled with sand. Pool, ocean, water slides it handled it all perfectly fine. It's slow but that's what you get at this price point. It took great underwater pictures and videos and the super macro mode is pretty cool.
Summary: We bought this camera for our 6 yr old grandson for Christmas. The camera is water-proof, shock-proof and dust-proof. The functions are super easy to use and 9 out of 10 pics are great. Using inside without flash (with a shaking hand) may be a little blurred, but overall I gave it a top notch favorite gift. The Video mode is an added plus too. Two thumbs Up !!
Summary: I purchased this camera for my 12 year old son to travel across Australia. He snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef and an old ship wreck. This past summer he traveled across Europe. It is an AWESOME camera at an AWESOME price! I would highly recommend this camera. The picture quality compares to much more expensive cameras.
Summary: Bought this camera in July for Mud Runs. Has past the test! Completely submerged in water and in Texas Clay, dropped, kicked, tossed about and still takes Beautiful pictures! Really need a tripod for night pics or the image will look blurry do to handler's breathing.
Summary: Bought this for a snorkel trip to Bali. All it took to ruin this camera was to place it in water. I mean the very instant we hit the water the camera screen was shot and water could be seen between the viewfinder and the camera interior. Very poor design for keeping water out as the door mechanism for the batteries and SD card still moves after locking down. Stay away from this product at all costs until (and if)they fix the leaking issue.
