Excerpt: This camera gets a bad rap because folks like the metal original Q or the larger sensor in the Q7 and Q-S1. But the fact is that it's a really nice camera. I'm consistently amazed by the image quality of the Q10, and as so many others have said, there's just something fun about using a Q-series...
Pros: Small, light. Easy to grab and take with you
Summary: First, this camera is small. Smaller than it looks. This camera is also filled with features that work very well. I have used all kinds of cameras. I am impressed with what Pentax has included in this camera. It feels well built. The controls are quite intuitive, but there are so many.
Summary: There is something about this camera that makes it fun to shoot. It is really tiny and I could easily put it into a coat pocket. I was taken a back by the size of the manual. For such a little thing, it does pack in a lot of options.
Excerpt: CMos Sony imx078cqk : Exmor R tech' = on chip column-parallel A/D Convertion. R = backside illuminated : IMO the GQE (green efficiency) should be ~75% ! that was just incredible a few years ago for a Bayer Filtered sensor ! 75% is current QE for Unfiltered Astro imaging CCD sensors.
Summary: I found this for a friend who wanted to try photography. I couldn't resist the price and bought one for myself. I haven't owned a Pentax for 30 years but I must say that the controls were much like my Nikon DSLR and my Canon point and shoots.
