Excellent point and shoot. Much better than the equivalent Olympus.

Summary: Excellent little camera. Very tough. I have had about 5 of these over the past few years. (keep dropping them over board with out a float) EXCELLENT point and shoot for the kayak. I get MUCH more consistent results (clear and sharp) from this cam compared to the Olympus SW series. Best advice? attach a float!
Excerpt: I have had this camera for one weekend - it's been on two kayaking trips, one down a frothy river and on a lake, and on a hike through the woods. The Pentax Optio WP digital camera has taken some very nice shots, easily, and has been splashed on. Having ruined a camera on a previous kayaking trip, the waterproof feature of this camera is very important to me. I did find the LCD viewfinder somewhat difficult to use in the glare between the sun and water.
Summary: I am no professional when it comes to cameras and, after having used this one for a week and not knowing all of it's functions, this is a totally "nonprofessional" review of my purchase. I haven't had time to play with all of the functions yet, but a lot of the pictures that I took were blurry, and I'm sure I will learn how to get rid of that as I use it more. My advice on this or any other camera, READ THE MANUAL IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE TAKING IT ON A TRIP!
Summary: I JUST RECIEVED MY CAMERA WITH ANTICIPATION AND WHEN I GOT IT I WASN'T SO HAPPY.II DON'T KNOW WHY EXACTLY, I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW ALOT ABOUT CAMERAS BUT I KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS ONE LIKE THIS BUT IN A 7 MEGAPIXIL AND I THINK THATS THE PROBLEM, THE PICTURE QUALITY ISN'T WHAT THE OTHER ONE WAS.THE 7 MEG, THE PICTURE WERE LIKE THE THEY WERE ALIVE IN THE CAMERA,AND THIS ONE IS GOOD BUT DOSN'T MAKE ME SATISFIED I WAITED ALL THIS TIME TO GET ONE AND THEN I FEEL DISAPOINTED.OVER...
Summary: Product is very compact and the zoom is very fast. I like the internal zoom and focus. The shutter speed is very fast compared to other digital camaras I have used. Purchasing through overstock.com has been a good experience. This was my 1st purchase.
Summary: This little Pentax camera is awesome. It takes wonderful underwater pictures as well as normal everyday photos. It is awesome to be at the lake taking pictures without worrying if the camera is getting wet. Very lightweight, I carry it in my purse & am always ready to take pictures. This is my 5th digital camera, still use all the others. But this has now became my favorite for everyday pictures. Highly recommend.
Summary: I love it, Took the camera to Sea World Florida, and also took some great Pictures from the Airplane of the Sunset, But I bought this camera to go Water Country in VA. beause it water proof . The camera takes great pictures I love the features the camera has. I love the panoramic feature, and you also can add frames, the soft ware that came with the camera was great.
I take my pocket camera kayaking, snorkeling and river running!

Excerpt: My first foray into the world of digital cameras is now a distant memory. At the time the cameras were really expensive and we decided to opt for a Kodak 6410, a semi-automatic camera with a super-zoom which, although it pulled great shots (relative to others at the time) it wasn't exactly what you'd call pocket sized. In fact, I think you can get smaller digital SLRs these days!
Pros: Waterproof, pocket - sized and decent pictures
Cons: Clearly not as good as a digital SLR and some features are rather gimicky
Excerpt: I have had this camera for 2 years now and I see myself keeping it for a long time to come yet. Doing a lot of canoeing it is perfect for me. I keep it in my bouyancy aid and never have to worry about going over. With some waterproof cameras I have used - you end up with water droplets on the lens cover and so end up with blurry pictures. I rarely have this with the Optio. I keep it in a neoprene case and this is a brilliant combination, giving it some protection.
