Summary: I received the camera in late March. The camera takes good pictures (when it works) and has nice features. BUT... 6 months later, it is totally dead - without me ever using it under water, dropping it, or subjecting it to other harsh environments. After not using it for a couple of months, I took it off the shelf and was going to use it on my vacation. Unfortunately it would not power on. At all. The power LED would come on but nothing else.
Summary: I purchased this item based on the positive reviews it received. I should have paid more attention to the negative ones. The camera performs well on the beach when dry but after only the 4th time in shallow pacific ocean water I came out and saw that the screen had fogged over. When I opened the battery compartment salt water poured out and the camera was useless.
Summary: I read many reviews about this particular camera before I purchased it. All were very good. I was excited to take this on vacation to the Dominican Republic. My wife and I were going to go snorkeling and planned a bunch of water activities that i was looking forward to capturing. I took the camera on the snorkeling excursion and ten minutes in it stopped working. Has not worked since. Turns on briefly then flashes and does nothing. Has basically ruined my vacation.
Takes great photos until the seals fail, or the display cracks

Summary: I took this camera on a few hikes in the first week I owned it. The photos were beautiful. The f/2.0 lens is great in low light. Then I took it into a hike that involved swimming and jumping into water. The camera failed catastrophically. Filled with water, and the LEDs started blinking spasmodically. That was it. Thank goodness for Amazon's policies - I returned it for a full refund.
Summary: I had the same experience as the other reviewer. Only mine leaked on the first day of a 14 days trip. Very disappointingThis review is from: Pentax WG-3 Kit (Misc.) Bought this camera for a snorkel trip to Fiji. Imagine my disappointment when it leaked on the first days of use. This is not my first waterproof camera and I am very careful about making sure that there are no stray particles around the seal and I sealed it carefully.
save you money - don't buy it, it's a defective design, not waterproof as stated

Summary: In fact this ought to be my first review on Amazon but I really couldn't bear with my fury - I bought this for vacation in Bali. With 20 min seawalker and another 20 min diving both only 15ft deep (the product brags 45ft waterproof) yesterday, it's finished - water leaked in very easily, like some of the other reviews mentioned. I'm sure I absolutely didn't operate anything wrong as I'm a IT/tech-oriented guy.
Summary: This was a pretty nice camera until, in just less than 3 months, it wasn't. Suddenly the zoom doesn't work (I see others have had this problem). Suddenly the flash mode button doesn't work and the camera is stuck in the no flash mode. While playing with buttons to see if I could get things working again, and to see what else may not be working, the lcd screen began showing some pixelation noise.
Not waterproof (or at least, not the one I bought)

Summary: I bought this camera less than a month ago and the first time I took it to the water (last Tuesday) it exploded inside. It is useless now. I bought it from Beach Camera. Since I had thrown away the original package, Beach Camera refused to change the camera... I know this may rarely happen but it happened to me and I wasted 243 dollars. Thank you Beach Camera.
