Summary: The camera was fine except for being slow. It could take 1 second to react after pressing the shutter button. BUT the Warranty work IS HORRIBLE. My camera failed after 10 month or so of use. I sent it in for repair and it took 5 month for Ricoh, the new owner of Pentax to fix my camera.
Summary: We bought this last May 2014 and it's stopped working December. We took great care of it, washed the salt away, dry it before using again. I am extremely disappointed as I thought this will be a long time companion for us.
Summary: At first, I loved this camera - especially the macro/light feature. But after 6-8 mo. of occasional use, it stopped working. Sent it in for warranty service and the lens assembly was replaced and the auto focus was adjusted.
Summary: Picture quality is terrible: grainy (not good grainy) and flat outside the water, murky and flat inside the water (I was at the Dry Tortugas, and my friend's little Nikon took MUCH clearer pictures, so it wasn't the water), which pretty much made me kick myself for not buying a disposable underwater...
Summary: This camera HAD RUINED my Europe vacation!!! We received it a few days before we depart, and it went perfectly well in our first 3 days in France. All pictures were taken on the first 3 days really nice.
Summary: This brand new camera gets stuck in movie mode 50% of the time. The only way you can stop it is by opening up the battery compartment and ejecting the battery. What a hassle and not what you want if you are snorkeling at the time.
