Summary: I've had this camera 2 weeks now and am not really sure how to review it. It seems to really struggle taking basic photos - I'm talking about kids-sitting-on-couch type stuff. The photos are out of focus, poorly colored, noisey and frankly often unacceptable.
Summary: I liked most of the features of the W80. Like others, I noticed short battery life is the worst thing. Pretty easy to fix, just buy a couple of extra batterys and keep one on the charger. Fits in a shirt pocket (or those shoulder pockets of an ACU, hua!
Summary: I'm a bit of a camera junkie - I've owned at least a dozen cameras including SLRs as well as point-and-shoot (P+S). My biggest gripe with P+S is that eventually dust or moisture will get inside the camera resulting in total failure or at the very least, dust will land on the image sensor rendering...
Excerpt: Very nica P&S with no manual or priority exposition but a lot of programs and manual control over a lot of parameters instead. Slim and light but very sturdy. Lens is protected by a fixed glass that is slightly arretrated to protect it from scratches.
Excerpt: I used this camera for a race/challenge that involved mud, dirty water, fire, snow and a lot of climbing. It got knocked around quite a bit and not only survived but my pictures are beautiful.
Excerpt: For the price at $180.00 from adorama it is a great camera. Very clear images at low ISO, video is OK but not great but when you factor you can use it in any weather condition it is a very good value. Has intervalometer built in for both still and video worth the price of camera alone.

Summary: I really struggled with my purchase of this camera because I needed it for a specific purpose. All the reviews for low light imaging were bad. But I needed a camera with the ability to take shots at a specified time interval (a great, rare feature) and to do so in low light.
Great camera, indestructible, but not easy to use right

Summary: I have now had the camera for five months and really like it. Here are the best things about it: 1. Durability: I destroyed my previous sony digital at my cousins wedding and have done far worse to this Pentax with no damage.
Summary: The camera seems to be very sturdy. The book of instructions is very thick and to take the time to learn about it calls for you to set aside time to do that. I've always been a Kodak Easy Share digital camera owner so for me, getting to know this camera has been hard.
