Excerpt: I have owned this camera for 12 months. The picture quality is very good, and it can be used easily - more or less the same as a point and shoot camera. The viewing screen is large enough, and the menu is easy to use. It seems to be shock resistant ! I dropped mine onto a tarmac road and it remained intact and in working condition. It is a great camera to keep in your pocket or handbag, and can be ready to shoot in a couple of seconds.
Excerpt: I have been using this camera since early 2005 and its lasted among newer and flashier models. Because of its 5 megapixels it takes fantastic pictures, which can be printed up to A3 in size. One disadvantage has become apparent: When developing the pictures and even when viewed on screen I have noticed that the right hand side of my pictures, taken in focus, are blurred.
Pros: Small, light weight, 5 megapixels .
Cons: Has become blurry on one side, too many functions
Excerpt: This is a great compact camera and I have taken great quality pictures around the world with this camera. Like all compacts it is not suitable for taking distance pictures at night time (There is no manual setting to set the exposure and shutter speed). The night time setting on the camera is purely to turn the flash on and operate in automatic. This problem can be easily rectified however by purchasing a small tripod.
Excerpt: I have owned this camera for nearly a year now and consider it to be the best camera purchase I ever made. The pictures are fantastic quality and the zoom is much better than you think it is going to be. Capable of recording aswell its great for quick videos for those treasured moments and save on carrying a damn camcorder around with you. The only downside is you need to purchase a good memory card otherwise you will only be able to take a few good quality pictures.
Excerpt: The colour and depth of slides taken with an SLR are still, in my view, unrivalled but I no longer want to to carry my much-loved Ricoh around round my neck. So when I saw a shop-worn Pentax Optio S5i offered at a knockdown price I thought I'd give digital a go. It's very good, it really is! It didn't take me long to get started and then a couple of sessions with the very good handbook gave me a fair grasp of its capabilities.
Pros: Compact yet powerful . Lots of features to play with .
Cons: Battery hungry, cumbersome manual operation, limited f range .
Excerpt: Having had my previous Pentax Optio S camera stolen, I spent ages searching for a new one - only to realize that pentax are about the only ones that are small and thin with a decent zoom. The new bigger LCD screen makes this version even easier to use. It's great both for fitting in my handbag for a night out and for taking photos of amazing sights when travelling.
Excerpt: This camera is both stylish and compact making it a must for anyone looking for a 5 mega-pixel digital camera. The screen size is amazing, but this means that there is no viewfinder so in dim light it can be more difficult to set up your shot. However, there are many different settings that may be used for night-time photography etc. The camera also features video recording, the length of which is determined by the size of the memory card that you use.
Excerpt: I have had this camera for a while now and apart from the battery needing to be charged, I yet to find anything to maon about. Out of the box it is to use with all the pre-sets. The menu's are reasonably intuitive and the screen us great. It uses the SD type memory card which I believe tends to less expensive than most other cards. I have put in a 512mb card and still haven't filled it.
Excerpt: This camera is a really good product, it provides an excellent picture quality, as well as a large variety of camera modes to make it easy to take the best possible pictures of any object whether moving or stationary. The quality both the picture and sound on the movies that can be created by the camera are also of a high quality for a compact digital camera.
Excerpt: I spent a long time researching cameras before I chose this one, and I have to say, all of my research paid off! The very best thig about this camera is its size! It is so small that it fits easily into even my tiniest handbag (or my boyfriends pocket!). This means that I have it with me for all those 'I wish I had a camera with me' moments. Despite its size, it does everything I think I could ever want a camera to do. The standard of photos is great.
Pros: Small, so you can take it anywhere, but packed with great features !
