Excerpt: The Pentax Optio S is a remarkable little digital camera - and “little” is the operative word, as the camera really is tiny. So small, in fact, that it will even fit into an Altoids tin - I bought a tiny myself to test this out, and it really …
Summary: I bought my Optio based on the reputation of the Pentax name. I used it happily for about five months and then the auto focus began to fail. In a series of five pictrues I am able to document the moment things went from crisp, clear images to blury and undistinguishable.
Summary: I have had this camera for over 6 mos and have been happy with the small size and the picture quality. It has a great macro lens for closeups of flowers etc. I did find that the flash is marginal, but the camera was designed as a small, easy to carry camera. That is where I have now had problems.
Summary: This tiny camera is the best investment I ever made. I have four small children, we travel alot, kids are involved in sports, dance etc...so I was always bummed if I forgot my camera. With it in it's tiny "Altoids" case I always have it with me.
Summary: This is a great little camera. I prefer digital cameras because I like having my pictures on my computer - makes it easier to share it with my friends who are in other states at other colleges. The pictures come out clear, even when taken at night when it is pitch black (i.e.

Summary: I will forgo all the techy stuff. I have owned two Nikon Digital cameras as well as other 35MM cameras. I hate lugging those things around, on vacation or to events. It makes them so less enjoyable when your worried all the time about an extra bag. Enter the Optio S.
Summary: A long-time Nikon SLR owner, this was my first foray into digital cameras ... the choices were overwhelming. Since this was a gift for my sister and her family, I opted to invest $$ in size rather than pixels. So far ... an incredible choice.
Summary: I liked the Exilim much better than the Optio S. I am a current Pentax Optio S owner but had the Exilim previously. I found the Exilim to be much more user friendly and better designed ergonomically.
Summary: This camera is probably the best purchase I have ever made. It is truly as small it looks (smaller than my cell phone). I say that because it drops in a pocket so easy, that I have had it with me everywhere I go nearly every day since I bought it.
Summary: The Optio S, the smallest digital camera that's not a toy, makes a perfect gift this holiday season. Words cannot describe how small and compact it is -- especially if you don't even know what a mint tin looks like!
