Decent Little Camera

chrisgillman7980, Ebay
14 January 2010
  • Summary: I particularly like the compact size of this camera. It feels very solid, and is AA battery compatible, which is great if you have rechargeable batteries already. This is convenient because if you lose the adapter you *have* to buy a replacement, whereas if you lose the batteries it's different, I just prefer AA's over special battery types. That is where this camera gained major points with me. Where it lost some, however, is the *autofocus* feature.

  • Summary: Pentax makes a quality camera, and I was looking for an inexpensive camera to carry in my briefcase. I wanted good quality pictures, but I didn't need high megapixels. This camera had the features and price range that I was looking for.

very disappointing

  • Summary: This is the worst digital camera I have ever come across. It shuts itself down for no reason. it depletes reuseable batteries in minutes and the quality of indoor photographs is unbelievably poor.

So disappointing!

Amy, Amazon
16 August 2007
  • Summary: I didn't think the image quality was too bad. But after four months the lens got stuck out and somehow the focus bit cracked so that was the end of it. It was going to cost £80 to repair, so it's really not worth it. It's a shame, but stay away from this one.

Pentax Optio E10

milkman2, Ciao
9 March 2007
  • Excerpt: Ok, here we go, we all want to move up, bigger, better, faster etc,, and the way technology moves onwards these days, having the best or most up to date of everything electrical/gadgety is a financial struggle, and if like me you are getting on a bit, a mentle struggle to understand new technology too. So what do we do? A: Spend hours reading reviews and pondering upon whats best, only to buy something thats half the price and so called 'obsolete' next month.
  • Pros: good looking, compact
  • Cons: low battery life, needs a steady hand to prevent picture blur

Good small all -rounder camera

Arthur90, Ciao

  • Excerpt: I wanted a quality camera with loads of features but also which would not be overly expensive. At a reasonable price, the E-10 makes for a good quality camera with all the functions expected. It is also nice and small to "slip in your pocket" so is perfect to take with you everywhere. It is very user friendly and easy to use and settings can quickly be changed using menu features. The click-wheel on top also assists ease of changing picture type.
  • Pros: Massive Screen
  • Cons: Quite slow to capture images
