Pentax K100D Super: Review

Electronics Made Easy
12 December 2010
  • Summary: If you're looking for a well-made, versatile entry-level DSLR, give the Pentax K100D Super a test drive. One advantage that it has is lens compatibility - it's compatible with virtually every Pentax lens ever made, which means that you can get some excellent used glass for this camera for not very much money. And the performance and image quality are pretty much on par with the competition.
  • Pros: 6.1MP resolution, Sensor-shake image stabilization, 11-point autofocus system, Compatibility with previous Pentax lenses, Large, bright viewfinder
  • Cons: There are no cons for this product

Pentax K100D Super Review

What Digital Camera
1 November 2007
  • Summary: This clearly feels like a stop-gap camera to wring a few extra months of life out of the K100D until a proper replacement came along (the K200D), but it’s no less worthy for that. It’s nicely designed, performs well and delivers great results. There are some negatives of course – the lack of simultaneous Raw+JPEG recording, poor burst performance (making it a bad choice for sports and action), the clumsy menu and the need to use it too often to access key features – but...
  • Pros: Handling, Image Quality, Low noise, Built-in IS, Price
  • Cons: Burst shooting performance, Too menu dependent, Menu interface, No Raw+JPEG option

  • Conclusion: Pentax K100D digital reflex camera Although Pentax started with digital SLR cameras relatively late, the brand now frequently introduces new models. The Pentax K110D and the K100D are the latest entry-level models, which have been designed according to the Pentax motto: simplicity above all else. However, that certainly doesn't mean they are plain cameras that offer little to no options to the more experienced photographer; on the contrary even!

Pentax K100D Super

PhotographyBLOG
22 October 2007
  • Summary: Having the arrogance to call your camera 'Super' places it justifiably in the firing line for a critical kicking. But having used the camera for more than six weeks, that thought has never entered my head until now. That's because the Pentax K100D Super ticks very nearly all of the boxes for those wanting an easy to use DSLR that delivers images you'll want to keep straight out of the camera; and with the minimum of user input and effort to boot.

Pentax K100D Review

LetsGoDigital
24 January 2013

Pentax K100D Review

Let's go digital
8 May 2007

  • Pros: beeldkwaliteit, AA-batterijen
  • Cons: geen geheugen
