Summary: I sent my camera in for repair after maybe 500 shots. Shortly after, I received and email saying that the repair wasn't going to be covered by the warranty. Pentax concluded that I improperly used the batteries (leaving them in the camera for about a month).
Update: went dead in the water after 16 months of use. Avoid.

Summary: Update: The original 5-star review I wrote in November 2010 follows below. The revised 1-star review is based on a sudden and total failure of this camera after just 16 months of operation (during which I used it to take around 6500 images).
Mine was defective...could possibly be a design flaw

Summary: Between speeds of 1/60s to 1/120s (and others, though not as visible) my sample could not take sharp images. It would take mostly sharp images at 1/30s, and sharp images at 1/250s. I also noticed demosaicing artifacts in images as well, although I think that's just the way the camera is.
