Summary: I bought this one used and am completely satisfied. As far as I'm concerned this is one of the good ones. There are many online reviews and if you want an oldie but goodie see if you can locate one. Being able to use many Pentax lenses is just a real plus for me. Mine came with two lenses in the original box with all the goodies. I've since bought another Pentax but this one is my main camera.
Summary: I still have my old Pentax Kx camera body which I purchased in 1977 as my first SLR. This camera has seen a lot of mileage and went through several hundred rolls of film over the years. The new Pentax K-x is the rebirth of the old trusty camera. I got the "Star Wars" edition which carries attention wherever I go. I am very pleased with this entry-level camera body, even after owning it for several years and comparing it to my more advanced Canon cameras.
Summary: I received this camera as a gift and have greatly enjoyed it. I am an amateur photographer and usually shoot sports and time exposures. This camera and included lens are not the top of the line from Pentax, but of very high quality and sufficient to meet my needs. I later purchased a matching 80mm to 300mm telephoto. Between these two lenses, I am able to shoot nearly every picture I want to take.
Summary: Wondered about buying a used camera and wondered why the seller listed it as "Very Good" instead of "Like New". Still wonder. Camera is basically like new. Wish it came with the over 300 page manual. Anyway, needed a more capable camera in addition to my beloved Canon A510. Happy that I can use my old K1000 lenses. I put one on last night but have to look up the settings because it wouldn't fire. Need some tweaking, apparently.
Summary: Too bad she rarely used the thing. Why does every girl think they're a photographer? That being said, at the time I purchased it this was a very good camera, I'm sure it would be able to hold its own today but the one thing is that it only filmed in 720. The variety of colors you can choose from is cool though.
