Explore. Capture. Captivate. The new K-7 has arrived. Faster and more durable than ever before, the compact, 14.6 megapixel K-7 truly is the most powerful PENTAX ever. Check out the K-7 short films shot by two Colorado companies.
While the Pentax K-7's predecessor, the K20D, was clearly a competent camera it was never quite up there, either in terms of performance nor from a specification point of view, with the established semi-pro models such as the Canon EOS 40/50D or the Nikon D300. However, with the K-7, Pentax has clearly upped its game and the new model is in many respects on eye level with the competition's enthusiast offerings. The K-7's build quality and ergonomics are as good as it... Read more
The Pentax K-7 is undoubtedly the most feature-rich DSLR made to date. Its unique horizon correction, built-in level, 100% viewfinder and white-balance preview helps photographers take better pictures. Its 14.6 MP resolution, maximum ISO of 6400, 5.2 FPS continuous drive, built-in stabilization and cold-resistant weather-sealed body makes it suitable for every photographic subject as well. Add to that one of the most sophisticated movie-modes among DSLRs and we got here... Read more
The Pentax K-7 is indeed the most revolutionary camera Pentax has produced to date. The speed, features, and build quality help this camera stand above previous Pentax offerings, and if you're in the market for a Nikon D90 or can't afford a D300S then this camera might make an even better Christmas present. If you currently own a K10D and need a new camera, then the K-7 makes perfect sense. Still, if you own a Pentax K20D and don't need to shoot video then you might not... Read more
The K-7 is, without a doubt, the best DSLR that Pentax has ever produced. It'll please existing Pentax users who may be looking for faster performance, better autofocus or even a fairly solid movie mode to add to the fray. Whilst the K10D has held strong for many users, the K20D only marginally brushed up upon this as an upgrade. As a result, many didn't part with their cash so soon for effectively so little - but the K-7 tidies this up once and for all and will see you... Read more
The big bad Pentax K-7 has surfaced upon the infoSync shores, and we’re here to tell you that the tides of time have brought many impressive features and slightly improved image quality to the company’s current lineup of intermediate/semi-professional DSLRs. The K-7 was one of the most feature-rich DSLRs we’ve ever tested, with an interface that made shooting much more enjoyable than the average bear. We felt as though the well never ran dry when it came time to... Read more
Simply the best DSLR for the money. Very well built, it's a joy to handle. I know people buying SLR don't really care about video, but for what it's worth the video from this camera looks great. Takes some practice though. Read more

Love this camera, I am planning on investing in alot of Pentax lenses, also you can use most of the older manual focus ones with no adapter needed which is a big plus. Read more
After using the camera for about one week I am impressed at the picture quality, both still images and video. The construction feels vey solid and the weather resistant construction ensures that you can take it to a long walk in a dense jungle (as I did just recently). Many options for taking pictures (still learning about them), particularly impressed with the High Dynamic Range function. Read more or see product
This is my 3rd Pentax DSLR (K100D,K-20D) And I think the K-7 is the best of the bunch. I love the smaller size and the quietness of the shutter. I don't see how anyone could complain about this camera. Read more
