  • Summary: I upgraded from the Pentax K-10D to this camera. There are quite a few similarities with regard to buttons and menus, but so much has been added, I'm still learning something new every day.

  • Excerpt: Works great with my old Pextax F lenses! The ability to be able still use them was a deciding factor in choosing the K-3. Too bad my Akitio Thunder2 Quad external storage device I bought a littler earlier has been defective since day one!
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Good Image Quality

  • Excerpt: I purchased this camera to replace a Pentax K-r as I had begun to outgrow it. The K-3 is a huge upgrade as far as I am concerned: * Better sensor and double the resolution * More flexible exposure modes * HDR for RAW images * Optional AA simulation, really sharp imagfes when you don't need it.
  • Pros: Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet

  • Excerpt: I waited and saved to be able to purchase this camera. It fits my hands and the controls are accessible. I am working and learning all about it. I really like that my weather resistant Pentax lenses work. I am even able to use my M42 screw mount Pentax lenses.

  • Excerpt: I have had Pentax SLRs and DSLRs cameras for almost 30 years. I became frustrated with my KD 10 but found that my frustration is now gone as the K-3 fixed it! The K-3 has great light sensitivity and it's so much easier to change the ISO settings (Plus a much larger range to choose from!
