Excerpt: I picked up the K3 and grip a few weeks ago now and put off saying much until I'd given it a good shake down....... Unfortunately it was meant to be as part of a bundle with FLU card and latest AF series flash, the body and grip arrived several days later but the FLU card only arrived a few days ago...
Excerpt: The K-3 is my upgrade after almost 10 years using the Pentax K10-D. It has several new features including multiple User settings, Live View, much higher ISO options, and yet is compatible with all my Pentax lenses and my infrared remote.
Pros: Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: Things that I don't like: battery life compared to k-5 and especially D7100 (I believe there is a design flop on the power management of the K-3), not intuitive access to some functions in the menus.
Pros: Image quality (no AA filter helps), display
Cons: Batery life, exif, some functions of K-5 removed
Excerpt: My first K-3 arrived with freezing up issues (maybe due to voltage spikes with onboard camera CPU?). You would have to pull the batteries to turn it off. Any way, B&H replaced it hassle free. My second one has not had any issues. The camera is great in low light situations... Upgraded from a K20d.
Excerpt: I am a two system shooter: Canon and Pentax. Pentax is my first love, it has a great history, great ergonomics, and has great value for the price. Especially now, the price of the K3 has dropped to a point where if you shoot pentax, it's worth considering selling your old bodies and buying the K3.
Pros: Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance
Excerpt: Wanted the latest version of the K series digital SLR - camera is awesome - night and day from the K10D, it took me a long time to understand all fo the features on the older camera, the new one allowed me to walk right in and use it - only had to look up what the new features are.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality
