HORRIBLE WARRANTY & CUSTOMER SERVICE
12 June 2012
Summary: the camera itself is a solid digital camera. it's made in japan (not china, like 99% of digital cameras), which was a key factor in my purchase. HOWEVER, panasonic's warranty and customer service are terrible.
Summary: It's hard to believe that the dust can go into a point and shot camera. But it happened to my Panasonic DMC-ZR3 after one year warranty is over. A black dot appears in the center of the screen and picture. It is not useable anymore.
Summary: I bought this camera last year, after 10 days and without any reasons, some black dots appeared on all new pictures. I returned it to Amazon that sent me a new one. Same model & same problem after 4 months !! Now Amazon tells me I have to send it to some place in Texas to get it fixed by Panasonic.
Summary: Every picture is bury. Using the auto or manual settings have no effect. Almost every picture is also over exposed. Received the camera a week after purchase. After a week of frustration and testing, we discovered that we can not return this terrible camera due to a 14 day return policy.

Summary: I bought this camera exactly 1 year ago, and it worked fine. I used to have a Sony Cybershot for many years, and I wanted to make a change. It was not as good as the Sony but the pictures were very good. Suddenly, two spots appeared on the camera, and they never went away.
Summary: I bought this camera for our trip to Hawaii that we took last week. When I got the camera I put it together, and snapped a few pictures to make sure it worked alright then put it away until our trip. It worked fine the first day.
Summary: I picked up this camera as a temporary replacement to our Canon G10 that died after 18 months. When I found out it would cost at least $200 to fix, the hope was that this could fill in the time until I could afford a canon DSLR. I was sorely disappointed.
Good Zoom & Wide-Angle Lens, but Unfocused Low-Light, Flimsy Lens Cover: "Stay Away"

Summary: This is the first negative review I can remember writing for an electronic item. I usually research reasonably well and end up happy with my choices, but not this time. Reviews talked about lens, zoom and functionality, and while there's some truth there, the overall package makes this not worth...
Summary: I am a pro photographer who bought this camera because of the wide angle Leica lens which most point and shoots do not have. There is a long lag time between exposures which means you cannot capture anything in quickly. You have to wait several seconds between exposures.
Summary: I regret to say that this might be one of the worst camera's I've ever had the misfortune of owning. After months of research, I landed on this model because of the Leica optics and the effusive reviews of the Panasonic line.
