Summary: I bought this for a friend of my wife who doesn't know the first thing about photography nor cameras. So of course I got to use it before her so I could acquaint her with it. I like it, but then again, I like all the Lumix-es (Lumixi) that i've used. I personally have a waterproof DMC-TS3. It's the reason I recommended this one for her. It's a really good balance of user friendly and versatile. Not to intimidating for someone uninitiated. So far, quality is wonderful.
Loved this camera but now there is dust under the lense

Summary: I have had this camera since May 2011 and use it almost everyday. I love to take pictures and own a DSLR for serious photos, but carry this one with me in a case to capture everyday photos. It has taken great photos and I've generally been happy with it. The option to use the manual controls are a nice feature on a point and shoot if in extreme situations where auto does not produce the photo you want.

Summary: I bought this camera to replace a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 10MP Digital Camera with 12x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7 inch LCD (Black) that started having a few issues after taking about 10,000 pictures. I've only taken about 200 pictures using this camera so far, and so far they seem to be slightly sharper and clearer than my ZS1. So far the pictures I've taken are mostly indoor pictures, and this camera has performed better than I was expecting.
Summary: Excellent in cost-benefits rate. Size is absolutely correct to fit well in my hands. Enough compact to carry anywhere. The absolutely best of all is the 24mm Wide Angle Lens. Fantastic for most purposes. Just in Image Quality i´m not completely OK. Pictures are too much processed. I only miss the RAW...

Summary: The camera was used, not new as advertised. The box was open, thumb print on the front of the camera, and the date was set. Not happy. Camera takes beautiful pictures but I am returning for replacement.
Summary: I know basically nothing about cameras and photography, so this reviewer is only for casual users like me. My last camera was an HP in about the same price range, so that's what I'm comparing this to. Pros: Excellent low-light photos. I keep the flash turned off almost all the time, and pictures look great even indoors and at night. Image stabilization works very well, except at close range. Very bright flash. Colors come out very well.
Summary: This camera is a great camera and user friendly. I have DSLR and had a hard time finding a pocket camera that could compare. This camera is as close as I think to DSLR as you can get for the price!
Summary: After searching through many different cameras and brands, I decided that the Lumix cameras give much more bang for the buck. It's fairly easy to use, and the pics are great. I haven't read the manual, but if I just put it on the "intelligent auto" function, I can trust that the pics will turn out well.
