It works - but it looks and feels like a very cheap camera...

Summary: I owned an earlier version of this particular camera, and was very well pleased with it. It worked very well and very reliably until it met its demise when dropped onto the street during an enjoyable 4th of July parade. Much to my disappointment, it could not be economically repaired.
Summary: This Lumix camera might be the 4th or 5th of this style we've owned and loved over many years. We've used them at work and play while on the trail, summer and winter. Sorry to say that the push button on/off they installed on this ZS25 is a really bad idea.
Summary: I have had numerous different models of the Panasonic Lumix and each new one seems to be just a bit more cheaply made than the one before. This model went beyond the tolerance threshold for low-quality.
Summary: Sad, but true - I've owned numerous smaller Panasonic Lumix cameras. The smaller, pocket-size versions all work well and last about 2-3 years before they go bad. By that time the technology changes anyway, so it's not a big deal for me to think about replacing them with the latest version.
