Summary: At first, I loved this camera, it took great shots. It had all of the features I was looking for. I used the camera on a Caribbean cruise and it worked perfectly. The next time I tried to use the camera, the inside of the camera looked like broken glass. There is no evidence of damage or mishandling on the outside of the camera whatsoever. The camera was placed in a quality padded case and never left my sight. The camera was sent to Panasonic to be repaired or replaced.
Summary: I got this camera for Christmas and loved it for the 5 months that it worked. Now there is a dark spot on every single picture. It's on the middle left so it is not an area that you could easily edit out. There are other reviews of this camera (listed without the cloths)and there is another person with this exact same problem. I looked into sending it in for repairs but that starts at $160. And it appears that Panasonic does not honor its warranty.
Summary: they do not warranty the camera the repair centers are not local and they charge so much that you lose the $200 paid for the camera Used to like Panasonic, was in love having a 'reasonably priced' Leika lens, but it was a fiasco
Panasonic dented my camera while it was in for repair and wants me to pay for their damage

Summary: I got a Panasonic camera last year for Christmas, and I just wanted to warn everyone about my terrible customer service experience. I was very happy with how such nice optics fit in such a small package. A few weeks ago, I noticed that the flash wasn't working and the mode indicator dial wouldn't always register the correct position. Since the camera was still under warranty, I sent it in for repairs.
Summary: Hello, I received this camera as a gift and enjoyed it for about 5 months. Then the LCD screen cracked. The screen has a screen protector and it was IN the case when this happened. The crack is not visible on the outside of the screen but clearly it is cracked inside and now is worthless. I may have to go back to an Olympus camera rather than continuing to put money into a clearly inferior product.
Summary: What may be a design defect causes the electronics to fail on this and similar models, which Panasonic will not acknowledge. When it works it is a wonderful camera, and mine lived for nine months in an air conditioned New York City apartment before it failed. Panasonic refuses to honor the one year warranty within the warranty period because they determined "moisture damage" to a connector on the main circuit board (a few pins appear to be corroded), but were not willing...
Summary: While the camera itself performs as advertised, it is fairly hard to take advantage of the lens range, as the results are fairly distorted. Performance in low light is sub par. The big issue is warranty - Panasonic does not honor their warranty and/or extended warranty ?(which I purchased). I sent the camera in after the shutter stopped working and they wanted to charge me $180 for repairing this camera worth $200, claiming I damaged it...
This is rather a request for comments than a review of the camera

Summary: I have owned several Panasonic cameras, ZS3, LX2 and LX5 and a camcorder, and I am generally happy with Panasonic quality and performance. But this camera gives me a serious problem and I have to decide what to do with it. It takes very long time to save an image onto a memory card! I currently use a pqi 150x 16GB class10 SDHC card. Each shot takes about 2-3 seconds to write to the card.
Summary: This red ZS-20 is a "Gold Box Deal" today for $303.05. Yet: Panasonic Lumix ZS20 14.1 MP High Sensitivity MOS Digital Camera with 20x Optical Zoom (Black) as of this moment, not a "deal" (???), is $249. How the same product is called a DEAL at over $54 more than a regular price escapes me.
