Camera prone to lens problems
2 December 2013
Summary: Lens stopped operating within a year and this is the second Lumix camera in my family with the exact same problem. I have read and heard about many others running into the exact same problem, and hence buyer beware. I am spending almost $100 per camera to repair the two that our family owns.
Summary: Awesome camera, the zoom is amazing. It takes awesome photos too. I highly recommend this camera. It is slighter larger and heavier than most "pocket" size cameras, but is still very compact and can fit in your pocket.
Great camera - compact in size and beautiful pictures

Summary: We bought this camera after reading a lot of reviews on Amazon and on CNet about cameras that were small but versatile and included a zoom lens. We have been having a lot of fun trying the different features, and we are very pleased with the quality of the photos. One thing I will note is that I didn't realize that the camera has a built-in memory card.
Summary: Not being a photo professional, this camera is easy to use and takes fantastic pictures in low light and at high speed. Just what I was looking for. One of the best spec'd cameras in its price range. I love it.
Summary: At first, I loved this camera, it took great shots. It had all of the features I was looking for. I used the camera on a Caribbean cruise and it worked perfectly. The next time I tried to use the camera, the inside of the camera looked like broken glass. There is no evidence of damage or mishandling on the outside of the camera whatsoever. The camera was placed in a quality padded case and never left my sight. The camera was sent to Panasonic to be repaired or replaced.
Summary: I got this camera for Christmas and loved it for the 5 months that it worked. Now there is a dark spot on every single picture. It's on the middle left so it is not an area that you could easily edit out. There are other reviews of this camera (listed without the cloths)and there is another person with this exact same problem. I looked into sending it in for repairs but that starts at $160. And it appears that Panasonic does not honor its warranty.
