Fantastic truly 'pocketable' camera.

treehouse, Amazon
16 December 2013
  • Summary: Obviously there is going to be a bit of trade-off when it comes to compact cameras. The great advantage with this camera is that it will truly fit into your pocket comfortably (even with fairly tight pants on), it has a nice alloy build, it looks great, and it takes reasonably good pictures. For what it is (you wouldn't expect DSLR quality images from this camera), it is a steal.

Slimmest 5x ZoomCamera

Jack, B&H Photo
30 May 2013
  • Excerpt: Slimmest 5x zoom camera available, and with great lens. Very easy to carry in regular-sized pocket. Easy to take with anywhere. Does not stint on features despite ease of use. Big negative is that Panasonic no longer makes belt cases available for new cameras, requiring users to buy third party ill-fitting belt cases.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Nice Body Color, Small / Compact
  • Cons: No Panasonic Belt Case

Excellent Ultra compact

pegasus2, Amazon
15 May 2013
  • Summary: The Panasonic Lumix XS-1 is probably the best ultra compact digital camera currently available. It is far and away a better performer than it's rival the Nikon SO1. The intelligent auto mode makes it almost impossible to take a bad photo. Even photos taken in low light conditions are better than average. While the video is 720p HD, it's not much better than standard definition but for short clips it's fine.

Amazing for the price

Amazon Customer, Amazon
  • Summary: Bought this last Xmas for my son and it's been brilliant. It's much smaller than I thought it would be from the pictures. Not much bigger than a credit card to be honest and very slim. Easy to use. Good quality build and good quality photos. We've just bought the slightly cheaper model (£39) for my nephew but that one feels much more plasticky and isn't as good so I would recommend paying a tenner more for this one, well worth £49 for the camera or £58 for the bundle.

Great Value Package

Kim Stowe, Amazon

  • Summary: Nice little camera, well worth the price alone, but include the other items & you have a deal not to be missed. The whole package is less than you can pay for the camera on its own. Was delivered very quickly, too, so can happily recommend..

Great service Great kit

richormonde, Amazon
  • Summary: Arrived promptly, the micro SD card is working fine without any problems. The camera is great, I chose it to take on an extended trip to Australia, mainly because it looked so slim (and it is!) and easy to use. It's a simple point-and-shoot but has quite a few extra features that are quite useful as well as the regular not so useful (sepia tone etc) Pictures & flims looked good on the screen but I was very impressed when looking at them on a PC or TV.
