Summary: Used this camera now for 3 weeks in fairly rough conditions (900 mile, 15 days circle bike ride through Idaho). The camera performed very well. I have found that you really need to learn the camera and all the setting option and the effects they can have on your photos. Just picking it up and using it without learning will not give you expected results. You need to learn the camera and it's personality.
Summary: it came with no manual. okay there WAS a manual, but it's a folded piece of paper with small images from an actual manual which are very hard to read or fully comprehend the images / diagrams. An actual little booklet would be good as would a PDF (which would be searchable). Hunting for the desired info on the folded sheet (and refolding) is very frustrating and as a result, I'm not good at the controls, hence the camera is not so useful.

Summary: Since my first 'digital' camera, I have owned 6 other small digital cameras. I have paid as much as 4 times the price of my Panasonic Lumix for one camera. I paid less than $100.00 for the Lumix and it is by far the BEST digital camera I've owned. I would give more than 5 stars for 'value for money if I could! Great Ebay price..
Summary: I bought this camera for myself as a present for mother's day. This panasonic lumix is one of the best purchase I made in my life to date. This is an excellent camera that produces top quality images. The more I read up on my camera the better my pictures comes out. The camera is a little heavy and not as light as many point and shoot cameras. The size of the camera is also a little bigger then most point and shoot cameras.
Summary: I liked this camera very much for 18 months, then a mark appeared on the pictures as if there were dust or water spot on the lens. I thought it an anomaly so ordered a second one. Voila Same problem the first time that one was used. They continue to get good ratings, but twice burned... I'm switching brands!
Summary: Absolutely love this camera - bought it as a backup for my other, which is the exact same one. Great pictures, easy to use, lightweight. Would highly recommend, especially for a novice. However, you might want to note that it does not take abuse well; the shutter will stick if you try and use it in the rain. I would also strongly recommend buying the plug-in car charger. The bottom line is I like the camera so much that I have two.
Summary: The only thing is when recording a video at a place that is exceptionally loud such as Electric Daisy Carnival, the audio quality of the camera lowers itself to a really muffled sound and it is quite annoying if you're an audiofile. Other than that, picture are good.
Excellent picture quality with lots of pro features.

Summary: I thought I'd post this as a counter-balance to the negative reviews that trash the camera based strictly for battery issues.
Pros: Great zoom with real wide-angle. Even greatly enlarged pictures show very little pixelation. Offers lots of manual and semi-auto shooting modes for photo geeks. Easy-to-use. Scene modes work well. Excellent build quality with most metal body.
Cons: LCD display could be brighter in sunlight. A little slow shot-to-shot. Flash could be a little brighter.
