"I expected much more when I bought this camera."

tonydraws, CNET

  • Pros: I really see no pros for this camera. Picture quality, poor construction and dust make it a poor camera.
  • Cons: DUST and less than great picture quality. Low light is very poor, and the lens is not as good as my old Kodak Z650.

Videoed my Grandsons Gymnastic meet.Crystal clear videos with telefoto lens

  • Summary: Since my first 'digital' camera, I have owned 6 other small digital cameras. I have paid as much as 4 times the price of my Panasonic Lumix for one camera. I paid less than $100.00 for the Lumix and it is by far the BEST digital camera I've owned. I would give more than 5 stars for 'value for money if I could! Great Ebay price..

Persistant shadow

VZ, Amazon

  • Summary: I liked this camera very much for 18 months, then a mark appeared on the pictures as if there were dust or water spot on the lens. I thought it an anomaly so ordered a second one. Voila Same problem the first time that one was used. They continue to get good ratings, but twice burned... I'm switching brands!

You'll never buy another camera

zoballa, Ebay

  • Summary: Absolutely love this camera - bought it as a backup for my other, which is the exact same one. Great pictures, easy to use, lightweight. Would highly recommend, especially for a novice. However, you might want to note that it does not take abuse well; the shutter will stick if you try and use it in the rain. I would also strongly recommend buying the plug-in car charger. The bottom line is I like the camera so much that I have two.

  • Summary: Picture quality not as good as I would like. Close up pictures are good. I had the canon sx100 and it is much better.

Ehhh.

Adrian B, Amazon
28 July 2012
  • Summary: The only thing is when recording a video at a place that is exceptionally loud such as Electric Daisy Carnival, the audio quality of the camera lowers itself to a really muffled sound and it is quite annoying if you're an audiofile. Other than that, picture are good.

Excellent picture quality with lots of pro features.

  • Summary: I thought I'd post this as a counter-balance to the negative reviews that trash the camera based strictly for battery issues.
  • Pros: Great zoom with real wide-angle. Even greatly enlarged pictures show very little pixelation. Offers lots of manual and semi-auto shooting modes for photo geeks. Easy-to-use. Scene modes work well. Excellent build quality with most metal body.
  • Cons: LCD display could be brighter in sunlight. A little slow shot-to-shot. Flash could be a little brighter.
