Panasonic Lumix TZ8 Review
What Digital Camera
18 June 2010
Summary: The TZ8 offers a lot for a relatively low price point. The 12x optical zoom provides a great 25mm wideangle starting point through to 300mm telephoto that will see a variety of images easily achieved from what’s essentially an easy to carry small and light compact. True, it’s not as slim-line or stylish as some of the competition out there, but in terms of ease of use, and decent results it’s a high flier for sure.
Excerpt: The TZ8 is a cut-down version of the Panasonic TZ10 , and costs around £75 less. The two models are very similar and their photo-taking abilities are identical. What you don’t get here is the TZ10’s GPS tagging, its 3in, 460,000-dot screen and its ability to record video in AVCHD Lite format. GPS tagging is something we can happily live without, especially if it’s as flaky as the TZ10 was in our tests.
