Excerpt: After buying this camera, I was the happy Lumix DMC-TZ55 owner for a few hours. Today I compared the camera in bright sunlight with my 10 years old Fuji S9600. I had both cameras stable on granite rocks the size of a car, and 2 seconds auto.
Excerpt: I purchased the Panasonic DMC-ZS35 at Costco for $180, it comes with a 16GB class 10 SD card and a case. Camera starts up in less than 1 second, focuses pretty fast and there is almost zero lag from pressing the shutter to capture, it's almost instantaneous.
Excerpt: I suggested this camera to a friend and asked him to ignore the reviews with the caveat that if it was that bad he could return it. We ended up meeting as he is a complete non tech and non photographer and I walked him through the setup, wifi, how the IAuto and Scene modes work, etc.
Excerpt: let me count the ways.. first shot was a house across the street in bright daylight, camera decided it was backlit and played some HDR game that made it looks like an over saturated washed out 1950s post card, cool if your into nostalgia or need a new Instagram filter, NOT ME!
Excerpt: Bought this past Friday returned today. The reason l bought this was because l have a panasonic ZS 1 and it's a great little camera glad l kept it takes better photos than the ZS 35. Color's look washed out and the camera operation is just plain slow.
