Excerpt: After buying this camera, I was the happy Lumix DMC-TZ55 owner for a few hours. Today I compared the camera in bright sunlight with my 10 years old Fuji S9600. I had both cameras stable on granite rocks the size of a car, and 2 seconds auto. Then I took pictures of beach, boats and dunes with the sun from the back and zoom to about 80mm. Both cameras on Auto, ideal light conditions, nothing fancy the Lumix on 16Megapixel the 10 years old Fuji with CCD sensor on 9MP.
Excerpt: I purchased the Panasonic DMC-ZS35 at Costco for $180, it comes with a 16GB class 10 SD card and a case. Camera starts up in less than 1 second, focuses pretty fast and there is almost zero lag from pressing the shutter to capture, it's almost instantaneous. The 2 dozen images I took were in daylight were under flat cloudy skies, ISO 100 images were clean of noise and even at ISO 3200 the noise was very good for a small sensor in daylight, the real test is in dark scenes...
Excerpt: I suggested this camera to a friend and asked him to ignore the reviews with the caveat that if it was that bad he could return it. We ended up meeting as he is a complete non tech and non photographer and I walked him through the setup, wifi, how the IAuto and Scene modes work, etc. We took test shots in many different modes, Auto, Scene, Flash, Aperture priority, 2FPS, 10 FPS, etc. The pictures all looked as expected.
Excerpt: let me count the ways.. first shot was a house across the street in bright daylight, camera decided it was backlit and played some HDR game that made it looks like an over saturated washed out 1950s post card, cool if your into nostalgia or need a new Instagram filter, NOT ME! Then I tried an indoor flash in bright daylight and saw the most horrific combination of blur and noise.. quote the Raven - Nevermore!
Excerpt: Bought this past Friday returned today. The reason l bought this was because l have a panasonic ZS 1 and it's a great little camera glad l kept it takes better photos than the ZS 35. Color's look washed out and the camera operation is just plain slow. Maybe l got the lemon but was not willing to try another one. The wi fi hooked up to my S 4 ok but would not remember my pro tab in history connections.
Summary: This is my 6th panasonic lumix, I have been buying them fairly frequently over many years. Unfortunately this camera does not live up to the quality I had come to expect from my previous cameras. It just isn't a good camera.
Summary: After thinking long and hard over whether this case would fit my mums kindle I contacted the seller. They were extremely helpful and said a refund could be made if it didn't fit. However, when the case arrived it fit perfectly and my mum loves it! It's good quality and is very bright which is brill!
