Summary: I have used this camera for several years and it has been just great. I especially appreciate its simplicity of design. For example, the battery charger is just a plastic box, two inches by two inches and an inch deep, with a space to insert the battery on one side and flip-out prongs to go in an...
Summary: I bought this camera (panasonic lumix) 2 years ago and its CCD is totally crashed now and shows nothing. Warranty of CCD is 6 month. So, if you want to use a camera for 6 month and ready to trash it, then I recommend you to buy this.
Summary: Bought this camera in February 2008. Being very careful about my cameras, I was totally disappointed to realize that, suddenly, last September 2009, the display showed only blurred and purple "images". When looking at menus, display was perfect. Diagnostic from Panasonic Service Center: CCD dead!
Summary: This camera is simple to use with a multitude of settings and options available for the more advanced user. It includes a Movie option, and has a large selection of 'specialty' modes including a setting for underwater photos (color adjustment).

Summary: I have had this camera for a few years now and i am just your average person taking pictures of my child. This camera takes the WORST pictures indoors. If the lighting is low, even with a flash the picture will be washed out or too dark. Outside the pictures are lovely.
Summary: What I need is a good workhorse that I can slip in my pocket and take lots of clear and detailed digital photographs on construction sites. This works well (generally) . I've now had it for a couple of years It's reasonably tough, it slips in the pocket, it gets good detail, and it's pretty well...
Pros: Good photo quality, compact, robust, simple to use, good optical zoom
Summary: Every digital camera seems to have one or two items that need improvement. I have discovered this camera's flaws now. This is an edited version of a previous review now that I have had more time with the camera.

Summary: I jumped into digital photography way before it was cool, spent far to much money, and soon after bought a nice 35mm slr and a scanner. I refused to spend more money on new digital until I could pack nearly all of the quality features of my slr into a small carryable digital.
Summary: I have to get on the bandwagon here. This is a superb little camera, definately five stars! I also have the TZ1, which showed promise, but has limitations. In my review of the TZ1, I noted it had lots of "noise" and pictures shouldn't be printed much beyond 4x6 inches if they were to be sharp.
