Good camera, Panasonic customer care zero

clickman, Amazon
13 November 2013
  • Summary: The camera itself has functioned fine, taking good pictures but I have an issue with a Panasonic battery on my DMC-TZ25. Less than 8 months after purchasing my camera refused to charge. I contacted Panasonic, who were less than helpful. They stated that the battery is considered an accessory and not covered by the 12 months warranty. I could return the camera for repair, but if found to be the battery, I would be charged.

Controls not as good.

A. A. Milne "climate", Amazon
9 September 2013
  • Summary: The 'start' button is too small and needs more push pressure to operate. There is a delay on powering up after switching on. The mode switch is a toggle switch and not a button. There is a delay before recording is stopped. Recording filmed items from tne Internet results in radiation flicker on the picture (doesn't happen on the DMC-S1) Slight reduction in picture quality.

Consistent build quality issues

BilboWaggins, Amazon

  • Summary: This is a great little camera - excellent image quality, handles beautifully, enough features and options to satisfy just about anyone. I love photography and my 'real' camera is a Canon EOS with 'L' series lenses. However, for walking/backpacking I need a small "point and shoot" which fits easily into a pocket and doesn't weigh much. A year ago I bought a Panasonic Lumix TZ25 which was an excellent bit of kit, until the focussing motors failed after 7 months.

Leider im Nachhinein Fehlkauf

Atlan "Atlan", Amazon
