Summary: Honestly this is one of the best cameras I have ever owned for the price. Usually I take super crappy pics and NO a cell phone isn't a replacement for a true camera. This camera takes all of the guess work out of good picture taking. Worth price and also it can't take some really great distance shots.
Summary: Great camera, just wish my HP keyboard worked as well. I added the water proof case and have taken it everywhere and put it through the wringer and it keeps working. I would buy another one tomorrow if I lost this one.
Summary: I read about this camera at length before buying it. I have a professional camera that I take on vacations most of the time and I purchased this one as a second "point and shoot" camera to carry along with us for quick shots or to use when I did not want to carry the larger camera. I admit, some of the photos that I have taken with this camera rival the ones that I have taken with my professional camera that costs a whole lot more!
Excerpt: Like it's close sibling, the ZS5, the ZS7 is an excellent camera. It provides all of the core capabilities of a modern point and shoot, coupled with the addition of GPS tagging. Most of the review below follows my comments on the ZS5. They are essentially the same camera with the ZS7 throwing in GPS support. From a point and shoot perspective, the ZS7 automates most of the common functions by the use of Intelligent Auto.
Excerpt: when i dropped my camera about a year ago i was just getting used to it and i really didn't know what type or brand i would get to replace it but i decided on the panasonic lumix mmc zs7 because i have a techy brother and that is the one he said he was considering if something happened to his. i ordered it from ebay and i really like it. it took me a little while to get used to it and i am sure i could be getting more out of it if i read the instructions a little more.
Excerpt: I used to have a Canon Powershot G3 since ages and just did not want to change my camera although it was high time - until I saw the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7. The pictures and video are so amazing that I was ashamed I didn't buy this earlier. It comes with 12x optical zoom (Note: this is optical zoom and not digital zoom unlike a lot of cameras which advertise digital zoom. You can digitally zoom later using Photoshop or equivalent photo processing software.

Excerpt: The Panasonic - LUMIX DMC-ZS7 / DMC-TZ10 Digital Camera may cost more than you'd like, but it is definitely worth the amount of money you're spending. It has many good qualities. Firstly, for being a small camera, it has a 12.1 optical zoom, and this has come in handy for me at concerts or any special events. It makes 30th row look like you're in 3rd row. Another pro about this camera is that the video is HD, so the quality for a video is a great one. i.e. If you're...
Excerpt: picked up the panasonic DMC-ZS7 over the summer of 2010 and have been snapping pictures of my little girl (and everthing else for that matter) like no other. The features are endless and very easy to use even for a large thumbed guy like myself. The camera's durablity ratting should be in a class of it's own as I have been known to drop it here and there as well as throwing it around in my back pack from time to time.
