Great package, dissapointing internals

LS, Amazon
3 January 2015
  • Summary: The good: - remote control over wifi - it works really well to about 10 meters in an open space, and is easy to work with if your smartphone/tablet has NFC built-in - rugged build (in other words: it's childproof) - waterproof chassis - I had mine out to sea several times, without paying attention...

Still looking for a quality point-and-shoot waterproof camera

Scott, Amazon
14 September 2014
  • Summary: This is my third waterproof camera. This one has served me well with waterproof abilities in shallow water but really lacks photo quality. The photos (in all types of light) tend to be very blotchy and grainy when zoomed up. I like big prints so this just won't cut it.

Beware if you ever need to use Panasonic Service.

ISMan, Amazon

  • Summary: Beware of abysmal customer service from Panasonic. For many years, I have purchased digital cameras. etc. including this one but unfortunately, for my future purchases I will mostly exclude Panasonic from my research just because of their customer support.

Clicking noise during video recording easily reproduced

2 August 2013
  • Summary: UPDATED: so i received a replacement camera from Amazon and the clicking noise is still there, easily reproduced as stated below, but the noise is slightly less and more muffled. The first camera noise was more like flicking a glass noise and this new camera is more like tapping fingers on a wood...
