Summary: I bought this compact camera because of its size, weight, and brand name. I have had the larger size Panasonic Lumix for several years, so basic navigation through the various menus in the camera was already familiar.
Summary: I was able to take wonderful images with this camera... until we went to the beach. I had kept it in my pocket, away from the sand, but somehow a tiny grain must have gotten into the zoom lens, and it just stopped working.
Summary: Since the lense comes out it leaves room for dust and dirt to get in mechanism and easily "damage" it. I had ordered multiples and within 2-3 months they were damaged. I use for work- maybe for personal use it is better.
Summary: I am extremely delighted with this Panasonic Lumix compact camera It meets all of my requirements for a small & compact camera and produces wonderful pictures including the "panoramic" ones which is why I bought this camera in the first place I would certainly recommend anyone else to buy this...
Summary: I bought this camera because of the good reviews I had read. It is a replacement for my ancient much loved and well used Sony CyberShot. This one seems to be so much more sophisticated. In fact the user manual runs to 126 pages. Only problem is that the user manual comes on CD.
Summary: Having already sent one camera back for not performing well in low light or indoor situations, I was hopeful that a Lumix camera should be able to meet my expectations. However, I was sadly disappointed, images taken indoors or in low light were of poor quality compared to my older Fuji F400 camera.

Wasn't able to prevent blurred images for my dogs despite the settings "Pets" or "Sport" my Smart Phone camera DOES achieve anti blurring when set to Sports mode ironically, so as I purchased this camera specifically to take photos of my 2 dogs on...
