Summary: Camera ordered in Oct 2013, used 3 times during over the holidays before it broke. Because it was longer than 30 days before it broke, Amazon advised me to go through the manufacturer for the repairs. Followed the manufacturers instructions and sent camera to repair center in January 2014.
Summary: I ordered this camera to replace one that I had ordered a few months ago, but had a lens problem when dropped in the sand. The one I received this time was an older model than the last one, had missing parts and might have been used before. Big disappointment.
Summary: this camera broke after 2 months, lens error, I returned it under full warranty in august 2013, since then it has gone back three times. I sent in a DMC-SZ1 and they keep sending me a DMC-SZ3, when I talk to the service center I am assured there is no problem sending me the camera I purchased.
Summary: Zoom lens failed after 6 months and only the second time I used it. Returned to panasonic in July for repair/replacement. Since I live in the same city as their repair center, I hand delivered it directly to the center.
Summary: DO NOT buy this camera!!! For all the hype it is given, this camera is a worthless piece of junk, and Panasonic does NOT stand behind the product. I had mine for less than 9 months when the zoom function stopped working, which also meant the camera stopped working.
Summary: I was very dissatisfied with this camera. The instructions on how to use the camera are very sparse. The manual does not explain the various features. The pictures I took were not very clear or bright.
Summary: After nine months of owning this camera it developed faults...blurry white photos etc, I was so disappointed but thought I would be covered by my standard one year warrantee. I contacted the seller Digiplus who fobbed me off onto Panasonic.
Summary: I wanted to update my small camera to a better one, replacing my Canon Power Shot A480. I did my research and this camera scored highly on all reviews so maybe I have got a dud! I had to send the camera back because there was something in the lense that appeared on the images.
