Summary: This is the second camera of this model I purchased: first was for 11-year old, who was able to figure it out easily and is capturing some remarkable photos. Second purchase was for a old-fashioned film photographer (o.k., a Luddite...) who has no clue about new stuff. He's learning the features and is able to do the basics so far. If he gets stuck, he just uses automatic.
Summary: This was an excellent adquisition, is a really good camera and I got it for an excellent price. You need to buy the memory and the case since this offert dont have it. Good picture, excellent quality, easy to use.
Simple, basic point and shoot with image stabilization

Summary: This is a very basic point and shoot. It won't stand up to demanding photo needs, but works well for everyday snapshots. The controls are easy to use and the viewfinder is large and clear. One of the problems I've had with point and shoots is that they are sometimes too small to actually use. This strikes a nice balance - it's small enough to fit easily into a pocket, but not so small that I find it hard to use.
Summary: So far I like this camera. I bought it to take on a trip. it is holding up good. Takes much better pictures than the Canon camera I bought in the same price range. I took the Canon back to Best Buy.
Great camera for the Price. Perfect point and shoot.

Summary: I bought this camera for my mom for her birthday and my mom is not technically savvy by any means. Before this camera she was still using the disposable cameras if that tells you anything. She was going on a cruise so I wanted her to have a good point and shoot camera and this one was great. Right out of the box, it was easy to set up, program the date and time, and the pictures are clear and crisp and have great color.
Summary: I got this camera for my 8 year-old son's birthday on the advice of a friend whose daughter is the same age. It is compact and lightweight, and easy for him (and me!) to use. It does need an external memory card, as the internal memory only holds around 6 photos, which he found limited his initial enthusiasm to use it. I love the fact that the battery pack is charged by plugging it into the mains, which is much better than needing to buy a lot of AA batteries!
Summary: Having recently upgraded to a good quality, high zoom camera, I found that from time to time I would value a more pocketable, point and shoot camera but did not want to spend a fortune. I was delighted to come across Panasonic's Lumix DMC-S1. Its slightly lower 12.1MP as compared with its S3 brother did not worry me as 12.4 was a vast increase on my previous and first digital camera. So I took the plunge, having done several online comparisons. I was NOT disappointed!.
