Summary: I purchased this camera from J&R about a couple of years ago. First, some info about myself. I am an amateur photographer and have been using digital camera for 7-8 years now. I have been using Digital SLR Camera for over 5 years and am pretty well versed with concepts of aperture and lighting.
Summary: This ultra compact digital camera has nothing to envy to other more complex and bigger devices with similar configuration. Its portability and wide performance make it a perfect partner to record casual and more important events, in an easier and discret way.
Summary: I bought this model because of the price, the ability to set the shutter speed and aperture, and the fact that it runs on AA's. Picture quality is not quite as good as my old Canon ( a little grainy ) but the new A-series Canons don't let you set aperture or shutter speed manually like the old ones...
Summary: I had a more expensive model and dropped it, so decided to buy a less expsnsive model just in case. :) So Im missing a few things from the other camera, but honestly for what I want this camera for, this is just fine. Works fine, shoots fine... Everything so far is good!
Summary: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8K is a light weight, high resolution, and feature rich economically priced camera. A list of my pro's include anti-shake technology, and a icon based menu that tells you what setting to use in specific conditions.
Summary: I bought this camera after reading the Digital Photography Review Budget Camera Group Tests (Q4 2008) on its eponymous web site - where it earned a "Highly Recommended" rating and was the overall winner.
Summary: This is a great camera with a long battery life. The bad thing about it is that it takes some time to boot up the camera and about a five second delay before it takes the picture. All in all this is a great camera for the price. It had everything I needed.
Summary: The camera provides good quality Macro and 5x zoom photos. Good: Battery Life (NI Mh - rechargeable AA) Good Macro Shots Good zoom. Bad: Slow to shoot sometimes. Instructions on how to use the options are fuzzy. All around good camera for the amateur at a good price.
Summary: Compact, with many features this little camera has what I need when I don't want to carry the big one. I like the options where you can adjust the lens aperture or speed. The wide angle feature is good for certain images.
