Summary: For the size, this camera is great. Easy to pack on hikes, and easy to pull out and put away quickly! I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for something high quality to be used for everything. It only lacks some optical zoom, but I knew that going into it.
Summary: This camera is truly exceptional. It takes amazing pictures and the build quality is top notch I have owned this camera for about three years and have never had a single problem. The reputation Panasonic has established for building great cameras has certainly proved itself to me.
Summary: now outdated by Sony, but was top of the line a few years ago have taken many thousands of photographs with this little gem the current price makes it a best buy 24mm and close up ability makes for a great investigative tool
Excerpt: I am a semi-pro dSLR user, but I wanted an easy-to-carry compact camera next to it. The Panasonic LX3 is just the right camera for me. I still have the opportunity to change multiple settings and due to the Leica zoom lens the quality of the photos is just great. Recommendable!
Summary: I wanted a pocket camera I could make hand held HDR exposures with, so fast EV bracketing and wide bracket EV range were a must. The LX3 with the 2.0 firmware will take 3 exposures with an EV range of EV4 in under a second!
Summary: I'm still learning how to use manual settings for this camera so I can take better photos in specific conditions, but generally speaking, just placing the camera in 'Auto' mode or choosing one of the pre-defined 'Scenes' has produced the most beautiful photos I've ever taken.
Summary: I bought this camera used, after researching online. I was looking for a camera to take to rock concerts, as the cameras I have don't do well in those light conditions. This camera was one of the two most recommended. This one cost less, though, and that was a major part of my decision.
