Summary: It is just what I wanted. I has good telephoto capabilities,sd card and AA batteries. Compact easy to use point and shoot. I will be carrying it and did not want a expensive camera that I will bang up.
Summary: I have had my LX2 for several years and have shot thousands of pictures with it. It is an absolute dream to use and the quality of the photos are remarkable. I have purchased other cameras that provide some new features, like a touch screen and feature rich GUI, and have always come back to the LX2 for shot quality, speed and features. The Program and Manual controls of this camera are "over the top" in functionality and ease of use.
Summary: It is SMALL and powerful..The Lx2 takes photos that rival DSLR quality. 4x zoom is a (maybe) a little small range, but with 10mp u can 100% crop and still print 8x10..It is ONE of the best Ihave ever owned....
Summary: The LX-2 is a serious photographer's point-and-shoot camera. In my experience, including 4 other "serious" P&S cameras, the Panasonic excels in user control, quality construction, classic design, and ease-of-use. It's image quality (in halfway decent light) is equivalent to many dSLR's. In poor light, I often took this camera in lieu of my dSLR (which has a slower lens) because its excellent IS and low-light capability makes after-dark pictures not only possible but fun.
Summary: I am using this camera daily, I carry it around in my bag everywhere I go. I think this is certainly one of the best point and shoot cameras. It is easy to control, small size, and the pictures are great. It has all the settings a person will need to capture photos for trips, portraits, or detailed photos and more.
Pros: Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, GREAT Photos, Short Lag Time
Summary: I have a range of Nikon DSLRs such as the D1x, D70s, D80, and the D200 and im debating which one to get next, the D3 or the D700. I guess you can say im a gearhead. Anyway, i love my nikons and they are great cameras but can be heavy, not too inconspicuous, and aren't always too convenient to carry around with you. Thats where the Lumix comes in, I have this baby wherever I go! I love this lil camera! Its like a dslr other than the fact you cant change lenses on it.
Pros: Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, Easy to Keep Clean, Sharp Images, Shoots in RAW, Short Lag Time, Strong Construction
