Pros: Leica lens, wide lens, wide screeen format
Cons: Worst pixel noise in industry even at ISO 100, smearing colors at ISO>100, slowest ever RAW shooting, smallest in industry RAM 13 MB, small zoom, worst LCD among all soapbox cameras not allowing off-angle viewing, jerky video due to not smooth transitions of image stabilization, bad image stabili...
Summary: I am spoiled by my cannon XTi with a high quality lens but my old 6MP Kodak used to deliver more consistant results then the Lumix. I wish I didn't wait so long to find out the phot quality suffered. Got suckered by the Leika brand.
Pros: 16:9 shooting is great if you are ever going to have an HDTV. The movie quality is very impressive but zoom is disabled in the movie mode. Nice screen. Pretty design.
Cons: Grainy images at close inspection. There are a lot of artifacts at any ISO setting. The sharpness of the photos is questioinable. Viewing at full resolution reveals nasty sensor effects. Not having a viewfinder is annoying outside. Need small hands to use with comfort.
