Summary: Warning, this was the kit with 20mm lens, but the lens was removed from the box. The camera body was loosely wrapped with the sensor exposed. The body cap was included in the box but not attached to the camera. Very careless repackaging of the product.
Excerpt: Only if you are making images in full daylight is this camera worth the effort due to the slow speed lens. Compared to the Fujifilm XE2 the Lumix image is soft and lacks detail. The moveable finder and monitor are nice but do not make up for limits this camera imposes. B&H's service was outstanding from purchase through the return.
Summary: I bought this thousand dollar beast because I wanted a lighter camera with the functions of a dslr plus wifi capability. I feel as if I have just blown a grand because I simply cannoy get the wifi to work and I do not know where to go to get help.
Excerpt: The HDR function is nice, and the manual focus peaking comes in handy. However, the lens issues have been a serious problem. The diaphragm is not circular, but is an egg / trapezoid shape. Getting anything useful out of the Panasonic service department has been impossible. Panasonic needs to get a real service department and a quality control department. I could not recommend this camera to anyone else. I am extremely disappointed.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Small / Compact
Very confusing WIFI setup. Deficient documentation/manuals.
Much Obliged, Amazon

Summary: In addition to the GX7, I have used a GF2, G5, and FZ200. My advice to those of you considering this camera is to think again. I do not think that the incremental improvements are worth the hassle and frustration of setup and use of some of the most highly touted new features. Yes, the imaging technology is marginally improved since the G6 and G5. Better shutter speed range, better electronic shutter capabilities, better ISO range, improved noise, better touch screen...
Summary: First of all, I would like to say that I love Panasonic because most of their high-end cameras are made in Japan and built to last. I owned a GX1 and that camera was solid and well-built. I expected the same or better from the GX7 but was eventually let down. The GX7 is a beautiful camera and it handles extremely well. It also takes beautiful pictures. That said, in terms of built quality, I expected much more from a magnesium body.
