Summary: Great camera when it will become cheaper to rivet lenses makrokolets etc. While prohibitively expensive in Russia. Advantages: Excellent device: the most advanced features, excellent quality for an amateur camera, light weight, nice quiet regular lens 10x, best hd video cameras (not as good as on camcorders).
Summary: I use it for family vacations, architecture, grand kid shots, sports, wildlife. The kit lens (14-140) is amazingly competent, but I also have some fine old Canon FD lenses I use with a converter. The video is a special treat for family events. Unqualified recommendation.
Summary: I ordered a used Panasonic DMC-GH1K to go with my other DMC-GH1. I'm a filmmaker and I enjoy having dual camera coverage for my scenes. The camera came in and it was perfect- so perfect in fact that it's indistinguishable from the brand new GH1K that I bought last October. The camera came with the body lens cap, the charger and camera power adapter, the monitor cables, TWO batteries, a 16GB SDHC car, strap. Did a test video.. works fine.
Do it all camera with potential beyond its years...

Summary: I'll start with I have been shooting with this camera for 3 years off and on. I have shot everything from portraits in a studio, street shooting, sporting events, and family functions. The camera has never let me down and considerint it is 3 year old technology that is a true rarity. In addition there are 3rd party firmware hacks that further improve the video and still image capabilities making superior in my opinion to many current compact system cameras.
Summary: The only bad thing this camera has is that GH2 is hackeable too. GH1 is a big surprise, high quality after hack, Mbps, no Canon or Nikon will have better video quality, Gh1 is the chief od DSLR video.
Summary: I purchased a Panasonic Lumix GH1K from Amazon through Angel Seller last May. I live in California and Angel Seller is in Brooklyn, NY. The camera with the 14 to 140mm zoom lens cost over $1370. It was my first experience with an HD capable camera. Its User Manual is almost 200 pages long, so there is a steep learning curve. The HD video seemed to record fine when viewed from the camera's LCD screen. I did not have time to edit my work for several months.
Great when shooting RAW in well lit situations. Otherwise...

Summary: I have mixed feelings about this camera. I traded my E-PL1 for a GH1 because I like the built-in EVF, control dials and the flip LCD. I use it primarily for stills. Despite the higher DxOMark scores of the GH1, I feel like the E-PL1 produces better image quality and greater dynamic range. The GH1 is great for well lit situations, but outdoors, skies tend to get blown out when you expose for the subject.
Summary: I bought my camera without the hack, but immediately hacked it. This camera simply produces amazing video quality for the price. If you can get the 14mm-140mm lense for a decent price, this is a real score for anyone who wants to produce professional quality video.
Summary: I can't give this camera enough love. just buy it, get into it, learn it grow with it, know it entirely, witness the unknown power. Then team it up with it's big brother the GH2. Autobot's transform.
Summary: A very surprising camera! It's compares favorably to my Canon 5D Mark II and 7D. The small size, even with the G Vario 7mm lens makes it an easy choice to grab for "what if" situations. The MENU give such great choices in both stills and videos. Some of the video shot with this camera have been included in sequences shot with the above cameras plus Sony's CineAlta cams. Many delightful surprises with the LUMIX have made this one of my favorites.
