Summary: I use it most every day, great pictures and wonderful video's, for a amateur it is well beyond my needs, all the options of a professional camera at a point & shoot price, buy a couple of quality lens and you are good to go, you wont be disappointed.
Summary: Photographers, if you're new to the game or want a simple camera at a low price point that will take nice pictures, this should be in the discussion. Make sure that your sets are nicely lit. Otherwise, they won't expose well at all. I purchased an external flash that later on and it helps tremendously. Videographer, beware of this product. Panasonic is falsely adding the 24p information to their product specs.
I would recommend this camera to my digital video friends.

Summary: I was looking for a video camera DLSR OR SLR that could shoot for a (1) hour or more and after reading and researching, this was the only camera that met my needs, both price and recording time. I am happy to say to you it was a wise choice. I leave all the tech explaining for the techs. I will say this if you have big hands you will have a problem holding it. It is such a great camera for video and if you are a Pro you will get a handle on it.
Summary: This is an absolutely wonderful camera. I use it more than my AF100 now...just kidding, but I do use it a lot! If you're looking to buy a body alone don't pay more than 500.00 if it's used. Mine was in the box and in mint condition...it looked like it had never been used. It fascinates me how people are always into the latest gadgets and gimmicks and never improve on their craft. Oh well, better deals and great video capture.
Summary: I use it for family vacations, architecture, grand kid shots, sports, wildlife. The kit lens (14-140) is amazingly competent, but I also have some fine old Canon FD lenses I use with a converter. The video is a special treat for family events. Unqualified recommendation.
Summary: I ordered a used Panasonic DMC-GH1K to go with my other DMC-GH1. I'm a filmmaker and I enjoy having dual camera coverage for my scenes. The camera came in and it was perfect- so perfect in fact that it's indistinguishable from the brand new GH1K that I bought last October. The camera came with the body lens cap, the charger and camera power adapter, the monitor cables, TWO batteries, a 16GB SDHC car, strap. Did a test video.. works fine.
Summary: I purchased a Panasonic Lumix GH1K from Amazon through Angel Seller last May. I live in California and Angel Seller is in Brooklyn, NY. The camera with the 14 to 140mm zoom lens cost over $1370. It was my first experience with an HD capable camera. Its User Manual is almost 200 pages long, so there is a steep learning curve. The HD video seemed to record fine when viewed from the camera's LCD screen. I did not have time to edit my work for several months.
Great when shooting RAW in well lit situations. Otherwise...

Summary: I have mixed feelings about this camera. I traded my E-PL1 for a GH1 because I like the built-in EVF, control dials and the flip LCD. I use it primarily for stills. Despite the higher DxOMark scores of the GH1, I feel like the E-PL1 produces better image quality and greater dynamic range. The GH1 is great for well lit situations, but outdoors, skies tend to get blown out when you expose for the subject.
Summary: I bought my camera without the hack, but immediately hacked it. This camera simply produces amazing video quality for the price. If you can get the 14mm-140mm lense for a decent price, this is a real score for anyone who wants to produce professional quality video.
Summary: I can't give this camera enough love. just buy it, get into it, learn it grow with it, know it entirely, witness the unknown power. Then team it up with it's big brother the GH2. Autobot's transform.
