Good while it worked

Mark R., Newegg
10 September 2013
  • Summary: Started getting the please turn off and back on error when the flash was raised (no more flash). Tried everything, never worked again. To have it serviced cost more than the price I paid for the camera (I checked). I would not recommend this camera.
  • Pros: Better Pictures than a point and shoot.
  • Cons: Lasted 1 and 1/2 years and was babied. Used only occasionally, never dropped, no water damage, always put away.

Can't take indoor shots

Deb, Amazon
28 July 2012
  • Summary: We bought this camera instead of a dslr since we wanted something light and simple to use. After 9 months of using I would say it takes great outdoor pics-pics of moving kids outside, scenic views. However last night I was trying to take pics of hula dancers on stage, it was indoors and I was 10 feet away from the stage, every single picture turned out blurry. I took about 30 shots, making every kind of mode adjustments - iA, flash, focus, etc.

  • Summary: Looks great, but images are soft. If you stick with digital photography long enough--tack sharpness--will become an obsession. twenty words.

Almost but not quite

Walterwombat, Amazon
27 April 2011
  • Summary: Image quality is fair but let down by the screen. Not easy to see in bright light and it's easy to accidentally select another function. 14 mm kit lens is reasonably sharp but the 14-42 zoom could be longer. Overall a fair attempt but the screen is very much a weak point. Not as compact as you think as it still doesn't fit in a pocket.
