Summary: My daughter had this same camera and so I wanted to purchase one for myself. I never before purchased something as expensive from amazon and was a bit worried I'd be disappointed. However, the camera was great and all the items that can included arrived in great shape. Couldn't be more delighted!
Summary: Panasonic is serious about its products, as always. Although this model is a bit old compared with the new line products, it produces crispy pictures and dare to compete with most new models from other companies.
Summary: This handy camera gives the best of both worlds. It has a sharp lens though not much range. It has many of the features you might find in a regular SLR but is not as heavy. It's easy to use and has a range of options for night shots, close-ups, and other specific situations.
Summary: As a long time amateur shooter of Minolta, then Sony Alpha cameras, I was looking for something easier to carry. The Sony system is still my go-to gear for "photo days", but needed a simpler, lighter camera that would still shoot quality images.
Summary: For the novice photographer who wants a full complement of photo features this camera will provide many features such as scene mode, close-up mode, portrait mode, sports mode. The camera also offers auto-focus single view and auto-focus continuous view for action shots.
Summary: I've read the other 8 reviews, most of them say "just got" or "took first pictures" or some such so I felt obliged to write. I got my G10 in late October 2010 and I have used it in multiple situations since then. I also have the 45mm - 200mm Panasonic zoom lens.
Great starter interchangeable lens camera AND easy on the wallet

Summary: This is my first interchangeable lens camera and I am very satisfied with it's performance and ease of use so far. It's light and has the same feel as a dslr since it has a grip. I was caught between the Olympus e-pl1 and this camera and I believe I made the right choice overall.
Summary: This is my third Lumix camera the others were more point and shoot, this had what I was looking for in a digital camera automatic exposure and focus as well as manual control of both focus and exposure. The fast mos sensor is a great plus and can now capture subjects in motion without blur.
