Good travel choice

Summary: This is a decent camera with a great lens range. It won't produce museum-quality pics, but it is a good choice for travel since it is reasonably compact and will cover most any shooting requirement. It is also very inexpensive for what you get.
Excerpt: Vendor's service/delivery was very good. Frankly, as for the product itself, I expected more; it's an okay camera for the casual photographer, but, in my opinion, not something that a photo enthusiast or professional photographer would prefer to use.
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color
Cons: Lag / Shutter Delay, No Viewfinder, Poor Flash, Poor Image Stabilization
Summary: I returned my camera. I really wanted to love it. The price was great. My troubles were with it focusing. I wanted it for bird watching, grandson pic taking, and vacation photo ops. When I was taking photos of birds, if I could get it to focus, it was great.
Excerpt: I use this camera as a still camera for mostly family. I mainly shoot video Sony EX 3 at the moment among others. I have always like panasonic products as my other camera is a panaonic. I like to lens and low light shooting. Still working on using it in all conditions.
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Excerpt: The wide to super-zoom lens (20-1200) capability is great for travel with landscape and some wildlife photography. The shutter speed is very slow, even blurry when capturing a walk-by person in a shot about 15 feet away.Image quality is dramatically reduced in low light and long reach of zoom.
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Stabilization, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Small / Compact
Summary: I am very sorry to give a negative review as I am a fan of Panasonic. I read the rave reviews on this camera and because of the extra long zoom (1200mm equivalent) I decided to buy it instead of buying another SLR with a 300mm lens (which is so much more expensive).
Excerpt: I took a few shots inside, outside, dark, light, macro, portrait and landscapes. It was good in low light. Overall the picture quality was not great for the size and price of this camera in my opinion. manual modes are difficult to use and auto focus is fast but sloppy.
Pros: Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good in Low Light, Large Clear LCD
Summary: Ruffeyyy stated the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ70 has a Leica 60x zoom lens. That is incorrect,it is NOT a LEICA LENS. THIS has a "LUMIX DC VARIO" LENS. If it were a LEICA LENS it would say "LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT" on the front of the lens. It DOES NOT.
Summary: Wish I had purchased the Canon SX-50! I share the sentiment expressed by Randy Wakeman in his review of the camera. Nice camera but the SX-50 puts it to shame. I take wildlife photos and my photos do not come close to the focus clarity of friends with the SX-50. Sigh.
