Easy to use! Great features! Excellent picture quality!

  • Summary: As a owner of 2 film SLR cameras I wanted to try a good quality point and shoot camera. After many hours of research I settled on the Panasonic FZ50. I must admit I have only owned this camera for a couple of days but so far I love it. It has many features found only on more expensive cameras. Panasonic and Leica what more could you ask for.

User Review

Phiroze B. Javeri - India, LetsGoDigital
22 November 2011
  • Excerpt: Just gave my FZ20 to my veterinarian daughter, and began using a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50. The lens no longer retains f/2.8 throughout the range as in the FZ20, but now all movements are internal, making it more compact and less vulnerable. It has a great zoom lens for nature photography, including macro down to 5 cm for intriguing insect photographs, all without several costly lenses. It becomes necessary to remove the lens hood for close-ups, though.

A most excellent camera capable of most anything... Have two of them...

bjsmopars, Ebay

  • Summary: If you have been using a small digital camera, or less than you would like, these cameras compare to the entry to mid level of many professional cameras... Easy to use, great zoom, has so many features that I have yet to learn how to use them all... Yet everytime I do it enhances my experence with these cameras... This is the third on I bought, this one is to replace the one I gave away as a gift... For the money do not think you can spend your money more wisely...

  • Summary: The best nothing else comes close to a bridge camera out there. Have been a follower of the Panasonic FZ series, and this is by far the best and the closest to the dslr function.

  • Summary: This is really a great camera for your buck. If you need a high powered camera for your everyday photography needs this camera is definetly a good buy. It is extremely user friendly and offers the user a wide variety of options when taking extremely crystal clear pictures. While this camera is relatively easy to operate, the user would benefit greatly from studying the user manual since this will increase the quality of your photos a hundred times over and you don't need...

Excellent Camera!

ekkotrading, Ebay
30 March 2011
  • Summary: Panasonic's Lumix line of cameras have always shined and the DMC-FZ50 is no exception. It has a big grip that makes holding it much more comfortable when you have larger hands. Also, the zoom capabilities and picture quality are great. The only thing we didn't like about it was that we couldn't automatically transfer pictures via USB cable to the computer for editing and cropping. However, for every other need, it will take care of you well.
