Great, compact beginners camera. You can't go wrong!

Summary: I purchased this camera used on eBay about two months ago. Since then, I've had the opportunity to challenge it in a variety of situations. It has come through with shining colors(?). First of all, I was amazed at the size. I never imagined you could have so many features in such a compact package, I can't begin to list them all, and it excels in every one of them.
Summary: This camera is great! I love that it's compact but still has a big lens camera feel. It fits nicely in my purse, and the picture quality is really good. I don't really know much about photography or cameras so this is an easy to use camera for me.
Summary: like -- light, easy to use, quick on, battery lasts forever, nice ability to take videos, photo quality is great dislikes - it occasionally, (actually rarely, about 5 times in 1500 pictures) does not focus on the image it is taking. -it has a max capacity for only 1Gig SD cards, which is kind of small these days (but available pretty cheap.) However, in several outings with my kids, I have taken hundreds of photos and not filled it up.
Great buy, 5 years later, still the best camera in the house

Summary: I bought this camera shortly before my first daughter was born in January 2006. I hunted around a lot for a superzoom camera with a good lens, good picture quality, and optional manual and automatic modes. So the camera has a good simple mode, lots of manual exposure options, a 12x optical zoom lens. The Leica lens in this thing is QUALITY, as is the 5MP sensor in it.
Summary: This is a great camera with high end, (expensive camera), features at a low end price. It has a good zoom lens, is upgrade-able to a 1Gb sim card (can you say 1,400 plus pictures before needed download or delete?), and although it has all the bells and whistles for a camera buff, it features an easy mode for those who won't read the manual. The software is easy to use and features editting that will have everyone thinking that you took photography classes.
Summary: THIS LITTLE JEWEL MIGHT BE A LITTLE OUT DATED AS FAR AS PIXELS GO BUT THE LENS IS WHAT COUNTS AND THIS LITTLE BABY HAS THE BEST LENS IN THE BUSINESS LEICA LENS FROM GERMANY TURNING OUT SHARPER PICS THAN TODAY'S HIGHER MEGAPIXELS CAMERAS THIS LINE OF EARLIER PANASONIC PRODUCTS ARE SO GOOD THAT I OWN SEVERAL MODELS GOING BACK TO 2003 I'M CONVINCED THAT IN THE EARLIER DAYS OF DIGITALS THE PIXELS WERE FEWER BUT THE QUALITY OF THE LENSES WAS HIGHER.
