Summary: This is an excellent camera for its time. Two distinguishing features are the zoom ring and manual focus ring which are not found on many other cameras if any. I've had two of them and loved them both however they lack the sharpness of the FZ47 and FZ150. If you can live with that and want the zoom ring go for it. Otherwise buy one of the newer models mentioned. I've had no trouble with either of mine.
Summary: I am not a camera expert, I was trying to find a camera that could capture my son's lack of desire to hold a pose for more than 2 seconds. This camera is a huge improvement over my Nikon point and shoot. I have really enjoyed this camera so far, the quality of the photos is good and the frames per second is great. I especially love having the option to switch between the LCD screen and the viewfinder.
Summary: I have several Panasonic cameras with Leica lenses. All are extraordinary: they are very easy to use and are mainly photos with exceptional quality thanks to the excellent quality of their lenses. Particularly with this camera, I use it because it allows the use of external flash, and also because the range of your lens is too large. Thanks.
Summary: If you want to feel like a professional photographer without paying much this is your camera. The 8 megapixel camera that gives you show you pictures of excellent quality, with all the accessories that you can incorporate as wide angle, telephoto and much more like a really low price. I recommend it.
Summary: This is a very nice camera for taking on my bike rides. Though it is not a pocket sized Point and shoot camera, it weight much less than my Nikon D-200. I love the 12X optical zoom. I was able to photograph a nest of Sandhill Cranes every day, as I biked the trail next to the nesting pond. True to the reviews I had read about it, this camera has some noise issues at anything higher than 80 Iso.
Summary: Well, to start out i must mention , i am a happy owner of in order: FZ15, FZ20x2, FZ7 , FZ10 and now FZ30. About FZ30: for the price its a very affective camera to have..its full of features like no other P&S camera has. It has Leica lens , with my 2 Raynox adapter wide and tele, i can shoot my FZ30 from 26mm to 645mm with f2.8 -f3.8 with OIS, thats a lot of coverage for what i paid.
Summary: Obviously, if you are looking at this camera, you are looking for a bit more than a simple "point & shoot". I have been using this camera for 8 months now and have taken thousands of shots. This camera and its controls are very easy to find and very intuitive. I wish it had a dedicated button for switching film speed, though. When I first started playing with this camera I was initially disappointed.

Summary: I am just starting to get into this camera. As with most digital Cameras this one has many buttons to learn about, and many modes to choose from. I went to my usual digicam review sites on the internet and read a lot about this camera. I was interested in the amount of noise to expect in a picture, what potential problems the huge zoom may present, etc. Some reviewers, even here, panned this camera.
