With its fine Leica lens, the Panasonic FZ18 digital camera really shines in the long zoom category, delivering amazing corner sharpness across its 28-504mm zoom range. Though the Panasonic FZ18 feels a little too light at first, you quickly come to appr... Read more
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 performs quite well for having such an extreme optical zoom. While it is normal that ultra-zooms compromise one image quality, this one compromise very little to pack an 18X zoom along an 8 megapixels sensor. Read more
Read more

In this case all the Internet buzz was right on target. This is probably the best super zoom camera (12x and above) I’ve tested to date. It’s responsive, saves files relatively quickly, has a boatload of manual adjustments and its Intelligent Auto works very nicely. As always with Panasonic digicams, there are issues with noise once you go over 400 ISO but there’s a blocker to prevent it going higher than that but that feature doesn’t work in iA mode. Forget the purpo... Read more
I have this camera at a few months. It's is great. the major problem i see is the noise at high iso. Low iso is great. Sometimes also my photos have a purple stripe. this happens when the light touch the lens at a certain angle. if i just move a few mm it's ok. Read more

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 is not a very well known camera, but it is a very good one. In my opinion the best digital camera out there. Whether it’s taking pictures of your friends and family, or shooting photos of amazing fireworks, this camera does it all. In my opinion it is worth the $300 market price, seeing as it has 18x optical zoom and not only does it have an awesome zoom, the lens is 28mm wide, leaving a lot of room for group photos. Believe me, when you’r... Read more
I bought this camera for a trip to Europe. A friend on the trip quickly regretted the size of his SLR, and the versatility of my camera quickly stole the show. You are able to get the good shots without changing lenses. Not quite the quality of an SLR, but pretty darn close! I have ordered some filters and can't wait to try them out. Love, love, love my camera! Read more

Is having Raw format worth forfieting this feature on the Canon any Comments please I can't afford a DSLR Quote this post ·
